Huni could have ended the fight about 4 times but carried him in there, focusing on inside work to the body and using his uppercut. If he bothered using his straight right he probably would have stopped him but looked more focused on getting some practice in.

Credit to Gallen, he's one tough fighter and does belong in the sport.

I went to a mates near by to watch the fight as he was dumb enough to pay for it.

Gallen is tough. Respect where respect is due.

Huni is 22 and did everything I hoped except KO Gallen early. Lacked the power to properly sleep Gallen. However having seen Gallen take a few of Mark Hunts shots Im not sure Huni lacks power to KO other fighters and more a case of Gallen being a legit hard head. Those body shots were brutal.

Gallen will piss and shit blood tomorrow. Thats not a joke, that's boxing reality .

I think the whole of Queensland will have celebrated Gallen going down like he did.

Taking on a promising fighter like that is just a bridge too far for a former league player. Perhaps now he’ll give it away for good.

    watched the highlights

watching Paul Gallen get repeatedly punched in the head was quit delicious. Should have been stopped earlier, i reckon he was out of it when he tackled Huni

I didn't see much from Huni that made me think he's got a big future, but that may have been the calibre of the opposition

Gallen is a legit tough fluffybunny, i'll give him that, and promotes his fights well by talking shit. But should learn his level for his own good.

Gallen's clearly a hard nut but totally outclassed last night. Exposed as a 38 year old who'd been in top physical condition for decades taking up a new sport. The question remains why Huni took so long to finish the fight. Was he working on fitness, technique against a smaller boxer charging in, paid by the round?

The losingest player in Origin history. For legend substitute trivia question.

Not sure but he looked like someone’s Dad with the bald head and mo even when he was aged in his early 30s.

Mid 20s I’d say. I wonder what he’d look like these days. Probably completely shaven head but with a beard.

He was like those English props in the 90s or Scotland’s Finlay Calder. Looked about 60 when he was late 20s and stayed there.

So after dispatching Gallen in a pointless bout, Huni has aggravated injuries to both hands and now won't be going to the Olympics.

@antipodean still probably worth it. 300k in the bank. Profile bigger in Aus now so,can probably run a ppv himself now.

gold medal opens more doors world wide. but 300k is 300k

I'd say Huni has been offered money elsewhere. Probably the UK. Could go as high as a Dillian Whyte or Joseph Parker type fight.
