The Brodie Retallick interview-is that the level of professional speaking quality from NZ Sports reporters these days? Apart from the Elle Macpherson "how's the body?" questions repeated about 4 times they seemed to struggle to get a question out without trailing off like Grandpa Simpson..

He looks good in Crusader red.
A pity for you the Crusaders didn't think that when they had the chance.

Wasn't that the message for 2020?
it should be the message every fucking year for fuck's sake!! it's rugby 101 at every fucking level.
it shows how far standards have slipped that it needs to be spelled out by the guys who are supposed to be the best in the world.
it also shows how things are a cycle. Seems like it's 2004 all over again (without the backline talent).

I don't want to sound defeatist so how about a happy remark: Foster's smile as he photobombs Blackadder reminds me of the people who get a cushy job and realize nobody else has triggered yet that the job is beyond them...
But that dominating forward malarky, we've got good depth in loosies but they're young and relatively green, the locks are the same we had for years, and the props are arguably no improvement on the recent past. So I'm not sure where this newfound forward dominance will spring from, it is not as if overseas teams have gone backwards in this area (with the honourable exception of Australia). -

It’s time to
Put 15 players on the park
Not throw the ball forward or knock it on
Make our tackles
Secure possession
Score more points than the opposition
