Thanks Max, I donโ€™t think weโ€™re quite at that stage yet.

Moral victory, forcing the aaaaabsolute favourites to struggle to a draw.

Batting is getting easier and easier, that drop looking more costly as time goes on.

Jamieson bowling after lunch is the last big chance.

On paper, Colin's performance doesn't look much - but, he's been quite important in changing the momentum in both completed innings.

First innings he came on and tied up an end - including tying Virat down.

Second innings we were going nowhere, but he was the guy who started playing a few shots. Only a few, but it helped set the tone.

    What's the feeling from here?

At what point do we think we'll need them all out in order to have a decent chance of a win?

How many runs would we be comfortable chasing?

Batting looks easier but I wouldn't want to be chasing more than 150 off 50 overs.

I have a bad feeling about this now. KJ to bowl after lunch seems like our best chance.

Yeah 150-200 is probably the worst case scenario for us - gettable but also makes us very vulnerable

It feels like we've been close to gaining real ascendancy throughout the test but India have just done enough to keep it in the balance.

Doull says 73 overs remaining. India 98 runs ahead.

If everything went well for us, we might be able to get 170 off 40 overs in the last session - largely based on 2.5 an over for the first 20 and 6 an over for the second 20. That's probably stretching probabilities.

But, if it goes badly, we'd have to shut up shop and suddenly only India can win.

If India bats the next session they might get 80+ if Pant and Jadeja stay together for a decent amount of time. Knock them and/or Ashwin over - and the last three shouldn't hurt us too much.

    Damo's 150 off 50 sounds doable.

120 off 60 sounds good to me!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I was trying to remember what the Southee dropped catch reminded me of...

What was effectively a knockout match, against India on neutral territory; Bond had taken two key wickets (Tuffey a third) going for a fourth and then McCullum flibs it at 27:00 - all the momentum goes and its' game over.

Timmy and Trent have done wonderful things over the years to get this cricket team to where it currently is, but both have now fucked up crucial catches in finals that have robbed the team of making history ๐Ÿ˜ž

I've got to go to bed.

Please don't let me wake up to find we've got neither hand on that fucking mace!

    Good luck gentlemen and ladies.
