Hurricanes 2021

@mikey07 I wouldn't be surprised at all.
On a side note - I know it was the last game of the year and the Canes non-playing reserves probably deserved to let off some steam but I felt some of them were a little off their game professionally in the Chairman's lounge on Friday night. I won't name names but a few of the boys were smashing back the beers and grabbing more rounds than everyone else in the lounge. I just thought it was a little off when there were kids around who were keen to have a chat with them.
The notable ones were guys that I don't think will be in the squad next year so maybe they were drowning their sorrows.
The only guy I spoke to was Gareth Evans, he was probably the only Hurricane who made an effort to yarn with members in the lounge so for that reason alone I hope he gets a contract for 2022, which is highly likely.

@canes4life I have a fair idea of who they would be.

@canes4life sign of a great team culture there 🙄

@LABCAT Likely join big brother at the Blues.
Would the Blues want him?
Sullivan looks like he has a lot of potential and Tuivasa-Sheck is also joining them next year, doesn't seem like they need to recruit another fullback.

Even if they wouldn't consider moving him to the midfield, I'm sure they would want him. A somewhat established All Black is better than both a possible future All Black and a league convert (even if he's a good league convert).
Besides, RTS can play wing too.

@canes4life Have to be Booth you would think. I struggle to really find a lot uf upsides with Campbell, if you watch him when he playing his first instinct is always to go left, usually means his pass to right is a little laboured.

Bring back the Hammer!

Great news, now we just need Ardie to re-sign along with a few more decent recruits including another experienced prop, lock and first five, and we should be looking decent for 2022.
The leadership of the likes of Bird, Franks, Coles, Barrett, Savea (if he re-signs), Evans and Perenara will be invaluable next year.

@mikey07 fair play to Savea. He was poorly treated at Toulon and he has every right to offer Laumape a few insights into what sort of club Toulon was when he was playing there.
Mourad Boudjellal comes across as a bit of tugboat. It seems to me that he signed Savea based on Youtube highlight reels, without taking into consideration the form he was in when he signed for Toulon. Everyone in World Rugby knew that Savea was past his best but it seemed to be a huge surprise to Boudjellal. He also signed Milner-Skudder when he was struggling so he obviously doesn't keep up to date with footy in NZ.
