Hurricanes 2021
-
Hurricanes playing club rugby on Sat 12 June 2021:
Almost no one? I'm waiting for the Hawke's Bay team sheets to be published, but I wonder whether they've all been given the Saturday off? I assume they'll await the results of Saturday's SR TT games before the end-of-season celebrations begin, but maybe they're all in Wellington?
Oh, and there is good news: Jamie Booth will be back playing this weekend. He's on the teamsheet for Varsity (Manawatu).

@sparky just the way the cookie crumbles I’m afraid. We had our chance to be in the final and botched it. Would have been nice but the Blues and Highlanders deserve to be there.
Onwards and upwards though. Big positive for me this year was seeing the continued development of D Flanders, Aumua starting to come into his own and dominate, and also the emergence of the Roigard/Love combination. Would like to see more of it next year but I’d assume Perenara will take the reigns when he comes back in.
Excited to see what D Bird and O Franks can bring to the table aswell, they will be invaluable to some of the younger players in the squad in 2022.

Most likely as heard the Hurricanes "end of season bonding session" took place yesterday afternoon/evening. We await the ferrets from Stuff to provide a match report (complete with photographic evidence if a professional entertainer was involved so we can rate said entertainer's performance standard) from that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@taniwharugby Possibly 3rd ranked hooker too. Decent for depth, but not like picking up Codie Taylor ...

@nogusta Riccitelli to the Northern Hemisphere, or to a team further north in NZ?
Queue a big campaign from @stargazer to get K. Kereru-Symes to the Hurricanes in his place.

@nogusta I was in the corporate box at the Tin on Friday night and spoke to someone high up at MSP. Let's just say he's very confident that Thompson will be a Cane next year. I asked him about Ah Koui and why he wasn't ever considered for the Canes, apparently he was never offered a contract.
-
@canes4life be silly not to lock him in - his talent was pretty obvious during the M10 last year.
