dont know if i have this right but if you take last round of aotearoa and tt and combine
table would look
highlander 33
blues 32
crusader 32
chiefs 31
hurricanes 31I think it's more relevant to take the full SRA and SRAU tables and add the SRTT points, and see how it looks for all ten teams. How would that look? I say more relevant because it's likely next year we'll have the same games, just intermingled, rather than two rounds of derbies then a cross over comp.

I wonder if all this draw/combining tables of two separate competitions would be discussed if the Crusaders hadn’t missed out. 😝
The Chiefs got a shit draw, but they knew what to do to be successful. They weren’t. Same with the other two teams who didn’t make the final.

@nepia Nah, they did it on the Breakdown a few weeks back. It's all pointless anyway. We played two rounds; we played two separte comps. One was great; the second was not.
I liked the second, I liked seeing the Aussie players up against NZers.
Maybe you need to join @Kiap and the other Aussies on forums sucking on lemons. (Joke)

I'm not discussing this because I think that's how it should have been done. The SRTT comp in this format has never bothered me as it's just a bit of a 'meh' event. I'm only curious about it (the table) because it's been raised.

@nepia I found it boring for different reasons. I didn't know what to expect, but I hoped the Aussie teams would be more competitive. Sure, some of them put up a fight (particularly the Force), but overall it was a snooze- fest. TT was like @Frank said in another thread "about how much you can thrash the Aussie teams". That's not my idea of a good, exciting comp.

Honestly hoped the reds and brumbies might have been more competitive

I am not a Saders supporter, but we all know they are better than both the Blues and Highlanders.

you sure about that?

hurricanes 31Crusaders and Blues would be 33; Highlanders 32; Chiefs 31; Hurricanes 28.
But things probably would've played out differently if this was the way the competition was structured. For instance the Chiefs might not have rested all their entire team against the Blues.

@michaelmac
cheers for correcting that.
the thing i found interesting was how close all teams were in points, little bit more spread now but still only 5 points -

I am basing it off when they have actually played each other.
Surely that's a better yardstick.
43-27 to the Saders at Eden Park.
29-6 to the Saders in Christchurch.Damn certain Blue supporters are happier about having to face the Highlanders than the Saders.

My view on it going back a while was the same before a ball was even kicked in TT. No lemons!

I also want to see Aussie teams up against NZ teams, and said so today in this thread.
The priority, though, is always an Australian-controlled comp first. That's me.
Others here query the credibility/meaning of a full season combined comp. Why aren't they allowed to? These are good and proper questions.
