Crucial turnover there for the 'canes. On replay its A Savea, steal and then offload to Procter. Nice.

Ardie with a nice steal, we need more of that, ref doesn't know the rule about releasing the tackled player so just go all out for the turnovers.

A stunning piece of play happens when a Rebels player standing on the Hurricanes side of a defensive maul near the Canes tryline flings a defending player out of the maul without facing any sanction. Fortunately the Canes get a turnover and are able to relieve pressure.

That bit of play, with A Savea offloading to Dane Coles who offloads to J Savea in all sorts of traffic reminds one why Dane Coles plays for the ABs. He has skills for a big guy.

Love the aggressive defense leading up to the intercept.

Try to Barrett after a timely interception running it in from about fifty yards. Hurricanes 19 - 08 Rebels 29 minutes gone

I am also mystified. The ball appeared to be out of the ruck. just sitting there waiting for the Rebels halfback to pick it up and the Canes blindside flanker stepped through the loose pileup, starting form a perfectly legitimate onside position.

Another palpable case of a Rebels player joining a maul from well in front of the hindmost foot goes missed by all the officials, but not by me.

are A Savea and J Savea really brothers? One a forward, one a back, and yet looking at their physical condition, such different attitudes to training!

Nice, try to woodward but big steup from the J Savea battering ram.

The Bus gathers in a clever kick pass from Barrett and from the ensuing tackle situation ( J Savea brought down very close to the tryline) Woodward scoops up the ball and scores in the left hand corner Canes 26 - 08 Rebels after Barrett converts. Just a couple of minutes until halftime.

Barrett playing very well and TJP's service good.

Love the aggression at the ball and the rush defence by the Canes.
