I watched the first 10 minutes, but baulked when I saw it was for 2 hours. Went and watched netflix while missus continued watching it.
I did love it back in the 90s. Didn't see it through to its last seasons though. But, I also loved Seinfeld at the time. Also loved "Brit Comedy Tuesday" that one of the channels did in the 90s with men Behaving Badly as the highlight.
Definitely feel it is of my generation, I guess.
When I moved to London for my OE in 1999. Friends had just moved channels from free to air to a Sky channel, Pubs (with sky) would do a Friends night on Tuesdays or whenever it was. Can you image that. pubs doing a sitcom. That, is the sign of a cultural phenomenon.

1/6 the chemistry and a format that was nearly a decade old

Friends is a generation thing. All it ever meant to me was an incredibly annoying theme tune that had the saving grace of alerting you to change the channel.
You are the first person to specifically write on the thread to say you didn't like the show that I believe!
@RL did you believe that Aniston & Schwimmer were really into each other? All seemed a bit corny that part to me ....

@majorrage absolutely, the cornier the better! I think they were probably playing it down if anything out of respect for their partners. I bet they shagged.

Betty White is probably open to the next series. Into her 99th year and still doing some voice acting..

Joey trying to get away with horizontal stripes hiding the paunch (but forgets not to old-man-slouch) look ... I hope he didn't get that rounded look from Budweiser-American "Style" Lager.
