    Shoulder is knock on?

It is a knock-on when a player, in tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent, makes contact with the ball and the ball goes forward

    Off any body part? Interesting.

I had to look it up, but they only reference the arm in other sections.

SO yeah, interesting. Mind you, the laws as written, adn the laws as applied are completely different

fair call by the ref. He latched onto that ball - why no penalty try I wonder? Considering what they give them for otherwise

because the standard of refereeing is abysmal. I love me the Blues, but that was clear as day

Rebels robbed of a try by Pickerill.

If you card a player a metre from the line with a maul going forward, why not award the try under the posts?

that was a lot of work to score that try. Not many arms by Rebels ... looked dodgy live

You're pathetic Pickerill. That's clearly foul play.

I don't understand how making absolutely no attempt to tackle properly isn't always at least a yellow.

it's just such a lottery. No wonder the players get frustrated. That's exactly the sort of tackle they're trying to get out of the game

Why's it pathetic? That's very fucken low end and definitely doesn't deserve a card, penalty seems spot on.

If I've ever seen a textbook display of what constitutes a penalty try though...that's fucked up.

Really surprised that the Rebels dont have one in the bin and 7 more points, but I guess that is the standard of refereeing we get.

Guess I'm at odds with everyone else then, but that seemed like almost nothing to me. Hardly any impact and absolutely no lasting effect on play or player. Penalty.

Or are we calling card for every piece of foul play now?
