I remember the tv crew showed an extreme close-up of the maul. Mainly James Tucker in the middle.

I'd say two weeks. 
Cranking a guys neck who's trapped in a maul is a grub act. Way worse than punching a guy you've squared up with IMO.

Actually, the more I watch it the more I think Pocock should (but won't) get a decent ban out of this.
 
He had to have known he had a player around the neck and was squeezing hard. The player was even whacking him him to tell him to let go. In a similar situation in a scrum players will even back off if they get a danger call.
 
He not only didn't let go he didn't even relax his hold as the situation got even more dangerous and the maul twisted and collapsed.

When Leitch is hitting him, it isn't to draw a penalty or even to hurt Pocock. It's to say "stop man, I can't breathe or my neck is going to get hurt". it's actually the actions of someone acting outside the game

It's way too soon to call the Chiefs favourites. Too long to go in the season. As a Crusaders fan I was surprised at our attack vs the Lions. 
I think the title will fall (as usual) to a NZ side, Chiefs or Highlanders (if their key men stay fit) or Crusaders (If the backs can kick on). 
From watching super rugby I think NZ might cream Wales.

As for Pocock's guillotine on Leitch, that's fucked up and deserves at least 3 or 4 weeks. Doubt they'll do it though.

He had a hold of his neck for 10 seconds at least including while the maul was collapsing which is extremely dangerous. As someone else said intent is not the issue. He should be banned for his stupidity just like any tip tackle where the neck is compromised. You just don't do it ffs.

Currently, Chiefs are in hot form. But they have scrum issues. And the season is long, with a break for the June internationals. Can they sustain this form at the end of the season, when it counts?
 
I think it's brave to pick anyone as a Super Rugby winner this far out, dat's all I'm saying.

Considering the Crusaders are generally always picked as favourites before a ball is kicked it's not really that brave - and the favourite tends to change as the season progresses anyway.

Even the most in-bred and one-eyed of crusaders supporters weren't picking them as pre-season favourites I reckon. 
As an aside I wouldn't write off the Brumbies either, the game was actually reasonably close just dazzling Chiefs attack made the score blow-out. 
Think pocock deserves a week or 2 off.

What am I exaggerating? That was one of the more dangerous things you can do on a rugby field IMO. 
A boot to the face may cause a bit of blood., a scar and maybe a concussion. What Pocockwomble did could have crippled. 
A don't think it should be downplayed at all. 
Now your sentence may be closer to what is actually handed down, but that is the judiciary for you. Your comment was "he deserves......"

spear tackles often result in no one getting injured, but the potential for damage/injury is why they are almost always a YC offence.
 
Someone with Pococks arm strength could do some serious damage, and given how Leitch was 'tapping out' it was quite obvious it was distressing for him...Pocock could argue he didnt know why he was getting 'hit' but no way could he not know he had his arm round someones neck! 
 
Deserves 2 weeks minimum, but wouldnt surprise me if he gets off scott free, cos a tree fell in the forest and no one was there to hear it!

You seem to be confusing what the judiciary hands out with what someone deserves. They rarely equate.

Interestingly enough I was talking to a couple of Pocock fanboyz today and they were a wee bit distressed by this.
