Why wouldn't he want to play for Tonga, he could do that straight away.

@nepia Yeah, I was wondering about that, too. He's still 4 of the 5 years to go on his residency. He'll be 29 when he becomes eligible for Japan.

@stargazer Considering France almost managed to beat Eng late last year with 14 or 15 of their starting 15 not available due to French Club Rugby, I still think they’ll beat Sco

Eddie has announced his team to play Wales with no real surprises on the starting XV. Staying with Billy V, Jamie George and Daly at Full Back. It's good to show loyalty to your senior team members but surely there comes a time to question that a bit more strongly.

A 6/2 bench (unsurprisingly) but with a relative unknown as the second back row replacement.

England: Daly; Watson, Slade, Farrell, May; Ford, Youngs; M Vunipola, George, Sinckler, Itoje, Hill, Wilson, Curry, B Vunipola.

Replacements: Cowan-Dickie, Genge, Stuart, Ewels, Martin, Earl, Robson, Malins.

I confess to being a little underwhelmed.

    Wales :
    15. Liam Williams, 14. Louis Rees-Zammit, 13. George North, 12. Jonathan Davies, 11. Josh Adams, 10. Dan Biggar, 9. Kieran Hardy

    1. Wyn Jones, 2. Ken Owens, 3. Tomas Francis, 4. Adam Beard, 5. Alun Wyn Jones (capt), 6. Josh Navidi, 7. Justin Tipuric, 8. Taulupe Faletau

    Replacements:
    16. Elliot Dee, 17. Rhodri Jones, 18. Leon Brown, 19. Cory Hill, 20. James Botham,
    21. Gareth Davies, 22. Callum Sheedy, 23. Uilisi Halaholo

If the key England players continue to play like arseholes, then us by 6-9.

If Eddie is proven right for sticking with the to-date underperformers, them by 12-16.

I agree broadly with your summation but have little expectation in the underperformers suddenly stepping up.

I expect the Welsh backrow to dominate its English counterpart. Vunipola is out of form, while Wilson is not a bad player, but far from world class.

I fear you are right. On current form they are, man for man, better than our guys and they compliment each other very well. I do not see our back row playing a a unit currently.
