I haven't used Spark Sport since the RWC but as expected they will be increasing their monthly price from $19.99/month to $24.99/month on 4 September unless you have a Spark mobile or broadband plan, where you get a $5 monthly credit automatically applied to your Spark bill.

I find it strange that they are persevering with sports streaming when they have bailed on entertainment streaming ( selling Lightbox to Neon).
The content battle for sports is even harder.Maybe because they want to continue to cock block Vodafone?

Has anyone seen any recent news on how Spark Sport is tracking? The article below is from last month, but was the first sign of some possible change
It'll be interesting to see how many do sign up for the cricket. I'm holding out till the last possible minute... (free to air on Friday night, at the ground yesterday, I almost hit "add Spark Sport" tonight until I saw the rain resume outside ). I'll cave eventually and sign up, but I wonder how many people won't...

No interest is signing up. Not worth the money for me when I have Sky Sport. I can get my cricket fix from the radio, going to games and Sky still have BBL and Aussie cricket. The Windies and Pakistan rarely put on good shows. The Aussies are the only interesting challenge for this summer.

For some reason I always look forward to the cricket season compared to the start of the rugby season.
I have avoided but will definitely join as I want to be able to watch the test match starting Thursday!

I think the casting vote at our place will be the six year old expecting to see the Black Caps rather than Oz (for five minutes, before he runs out to the front garden to start his own game).

@Donsteppa I signed up yesterday ahead of the test which meant I was able to watch mighty Fulham down Leicester - although TBH that meant I watched a few minutes here and there. Was good to watch te last 10 live though. Quality was good

holy crap, Martin Stewart has resigned at Sky and heading back to europe.
Pity, he seemed to be moving the business forward, and actually doing some effective things.

I signed up yesterday.
Love test cricket.
I had intended signing up earlier. Actually watched the first T20 game on FTA, and watching top edges over the keeper go for 6 just made me hold back for a bit. Like lineout drive tries, makes me hate the sport I love a little bit.
However. Unlike the Chiefs pink jersey on SR return which killed my enthusiasm, which made me not turn sky sport back on (and lasted the whole season), in this case I only held out for 2 days.

I'm doing the same - back to the 1980s listening on the radio.
Will be the first time in 20 years I won't be watching NZ cricket on TV. Will be an interesting experiment to see whether it makes my summer better or worse.
