Yeah the metres were ridiculously easy for them.

Big tick in the puke column for Foster tonight, substitutions were fucken absurd.

Speaking of puke, watching ABs (fucken YOU TJ) taking happy snaps with the crowd after the game like we just won the RWC final, WTF??!!!

Yeah, it's mind boggling how McLeod retained his job. Defence was just as bad as it was against England last year.

67% win record at best? Not what you expect from the ABs...

It’s brilliant how we have this thread all set up for us after a loss or poor performance 😀

I was glad Foster gave a few different guys a run tonight, but he loses all those points for completely mismanaging the substitutions. So bad it was like he was deliberately sabotaging the team by not subbing guys who were not playing up to AB standards.

Yup bad bench timing all on him.
Seems a very conservative coach under pressure and not in a good way.

Can see why he tired new-ish players in Bled 4 - dead game so a good time to do it.

Seemed to learn from Bled 1 so waiting to see what he learns from this loss. But am reserving judgement until after the 2 Argie games

@voodoo yes perhaps too much focus on publicity and uploads to Instagram and Tik Tok. Maybe a week staying in some roach motels and cooking their own food would change this attitude.

Thing is, you would have hoped he'd learned by now that wholesale changes very rarely work and most often turn to absolute shit. Isn't that supposed to be a benefit of continuity?

    Good point.

But it's a pretty new squad with a lot of retirements and we don't know how much say he had in team-building under Shag - particularly with the focus on RWC2019.

He got brownie points for the right selection for Bleds 2 & 3 so the jury is out for me

I don't see how that addresses and excuses wholesale changes? No problem with tinkering.

nah, I'm not going to slam him for changes. The schedule is a bit tough too - 2 weeks playing at home, a week off, three weeks in a row, a week off, and then the final game.

Playing five tests in six weekends is gruelling - you have to change sometime.

Right... and that's a reason to have someone different in every backline position than the previous week? The whole fucken backline! Including 8!

    @Bones

I dunno. Perhaps he saw it as a chance to do a lot of tinkering in one hit. If there'd been fewer brain-farts and we'd won, would we be saying he was a genius who can make wholesale changes and still win?
