Bledisloe Four: Brisbane, 7 November

A day after announcement and I still don't know if I'm happy with this team.
There's the selections I like, Akira finally gets a chance, Reiko gets a run, Ngani gets shot, Weber gets us a Magpie in there, but it's balanced out by too many Barretts (I can handle two, but only one of red-card-not-a-blindside-flanker Scott and the slow [although he looked almost quick when scoring on Saturday] pimply giraffe Jordie at the one time please - @Rancid-Schnitzel clearly has naked pics of Fozzie), no Coles, no Jordan starting, no Clarke and the inclusion of Reece.

Youโre right we should all just take off to Port Douglas and go into a state of denial

I have been busy this week so have only been drifting in - what's happening in Port Douglas this weekend?

Any chance of breakfast with the ABs?
He can have breakfast with me and Scott Barrett. I figured the mongo-looking younger brother was my best bet for access to Beauden. Lurch Barrett will probably cost me a fortune in bacon and eggs but it will be worth it.
I think that's rancid dancing around in this vid, beaudy fan club top member

@Daffy-Jaffy Hooper is such a divisive figure in Australian rugby. If people are from ACT or QLD they hate him.

On what basis? Actual question. Who is better in Aus at 7?
He's quite good at his job.
Not sure he'd beat out Cane or Ardie for a spot in the ABs though.
(I hate autocorrect.)
-
@Daffy-Jaffy "New Zealand" not "All Blacks".
In trying to avoid Aura they enhance her.

Brown is also almost as good a look as grey.

Beat me to it. He's never going to be an all-time great, but he gives his all every time and by all accounts is a really good guy. Really good player, just a bit limited physically I think.
Me mate the coach loved coaching him, and friends with kids who have seen him around the local shops have nothing but good stuff to say, apparently always awesome with the kid interaction

Good thing Kane had to retire. You'd open a vein if there were 4 of them!
If can safely say I've never seen nude pics of Fozzie because I haven't gouged out my eyes. -

Shhhhhh. The restraining order says 500 metres.

If Hooper and Scott Barrett actually focused on rugby they would be a lot better. Here's a way to test my statement,
if either of them end up on the wrong side of a ruck skull your drink, if they then proceed to stand there with a stunned look on their face is "oh how did I get here" then it's another skull
Then again I shouldn't be encouraging people to get shit faced -
@Blackeyeagain fair play to Hoops, he gets to an awful lot of rucks. His motor is exceptional.
He's just a little light ofr Test rugby
-
@nzzp
I know he's a machine right! But then instead of thinking of the next play he puts himself in a nucance position and then has to wait to get back onside, it happens way too much and he loses effectiveness. Good for the All Blacks though ๐ -
@Blackeyeagain well, ecept when he latches early and refs favour it. Wins some good penalties, but concedes some too - a bit like Pocock

Dunno if I mentioned it, but bloody excited about Akira getting a start.
I'm extremely late to the party but I was really hoping to see an Akira - Cane - Sotutu trio with Ardie off the bench. I reckon that's our strongest loose forward configuration for test matches.
