@Higgins I agree although I do also see where the selectors are coming from, he needs to be more physical imo. What I am saying is whatever he thinks of his ideal playing weight it's best to keep it to himself. It's never a good idea to disagree with your employers publicly.

@Machpants I expect they (the selectors) have access to all the data about players, or can get certain players tracked in M10 to see how they are tracking post Super?

So maybe they had seen a drop off or that his body was struggling to keep up (working harder each week)

Tom Robinson is another who many thought the selectors had a close eye on, and maybe they are just wanting him to get through a full season without injury, before introducing him to the highest level?

Or are we giving the coaches too much credit 😂

@akan004 was he disagreeing? I thought Boshier was meaning he was not able to work on adding weight at this point in time, given the time of season, recovery sessions etc.

@Higgins same goes with Asafo Aumua. I feel they added too much size to him too early and he lost that pure power and speed he had when he first burst onto the scene.

I feel like he's only just getting some of that back as he naturally matures.

@Machpants said in Mitre 10 Cup - news, injuries etc:

'being physically and mentally spent' from the season is also a reason not to pick him for 4 tests in 5 weeks!

Ummm...has Kirifi been taking it easy then? No wonder they picked him if that's him just lounging about!

It was, but I'm sure Read would like a win before he leaves.

@Yeetyaah I guess the value of Read being there will be felt off field and in the future more so than right now.

@Kiwiwomble just another shitty moment in that game from my team. No way should he have had the ball ripped by Nareki!

That said, was a good play by Nareki, given he knew that was a better way of stopping him rather than trying to tackle him.

Good spotting. TJ will be flown down for the commentary. Hames can double as the sideline commentator too. 🙂
