Weirdly. While Horan, Campese and Mortlock tries are burned in my memory. I have no vision at all of tries that knocked us out in 99 & 07 by France or even 2019 by England. I vaguely remember a kick and chase in 99.

The Michalak involvement is burned in my mind...

Same year, Frank Bunce crashing over through Michael Brial in last minute after Mehrtens/Cullen break to score at Suncorp.

I remember this try well. It was even funnier at the time as Brial had earlier thrown all those punches at Bunce.

Richard Bands running 50m and steamrolling Carlos

Every try Kees Meeuws scored with body height 1mm off the ground

This one stuck in my memory from my formative years.

Even though we wouldn't have had live coverage of 5 Nation in those days. Must have watched it no knowing the result (which was easy and normal in those days).

The legendaryness of it is added by them meeting again a year later at same venue in RWC semifinal.

I'm getting the distinct whiff of an ex-prop?

BBBR put the ball down one handed! Showboating fluffybunny! Shouldn’t be allowed back.

Ha! You beat me to that one. Was just looking up the clip.
I was living in Edinburgh then. Wasn’t at the game but was at the aftermath. It was a messy night.

This was the 1992 Bledisloe try I was talking about.

That was a great series. Pretty sure all 3 scores lines added up to identical totals for each team. Think we scored another great length of the field try in that series too?

This try was good. But vastly improved by the fairly poor camerawork. Kirwan cutting against the angle but the suddenness of his suddenly appearing from totally out of shot just made it great.

I think we scored an all time great try in each match of the series. Defintitely remember a great Kirwan try in second test at Ballymore.

1992 was the watershed year All Blacks turned from dour to exciting.

Hopefully starts at the right time. Nope.
1:09 for the Kirwan 1998 Bledisloe try.

If JK isn’t one of your favourite all time All Black wingers there’s something wrong with you.

    The Stensness chip.
I think i just have wood for the uncertainess of the chip, that has disappeared a bit , since 25 years ago, with refrereeing interpretations meaning retaining possession is easier to do.

    Woodcock 2011 RWC Final

Such an underrated try this - especially when you think about the occasion, the planning that would have gone into it for 2-3 years prior when they decided to shelve for just this moment, the perfection of the execution - right down to Piri's kick to the corner to set it all up.

    A couple of domestic ones
One try that I can never forget, Anthony Tahana scoring in the last few minutes for BoP to win the Shield off Auckland, not spectacular but it was important to me and helped banish Matt Carrington into the back of my memory ..

..and then thinking of beating Auckland reminds me of one of my favourite wingers of all time (pre pie eating) Rupeni Caucaunibuca. I was actually drinking with some taniwha friends that day in 2001 and the hangover was huge, found some highlights of the day

probably could find some better ones in his career, but this came to mind regardless
