@KiwiMurph I think Rennie had a bit more license, because no-one expected him to win.

I want a bit of judicious shuffling from Fozzie, not the baby going out with the bathwater.

Jordan isn't a left winger though.

    Fullback of rightwing.

So he goes to right wing. Jordie to fullback and Caleb to left wing.

It's what we should be transitioning to - but, this week seems a bit early.

However, if we lose then that dice needs to be rolled for the 3rd Bled match.

Don't know about dice. Should be heads.

@Tim Savea being out might be a good thing. Let’s see what Akira and Papalli have to offer.

Yeah, I'd like to see a Cane, Akira, Sotutu trio with Papali'i on the bench. Tongan Shannon can sit out this one.

I think if we'd have won this one comfortably there would have been a raft of changes but due to the result I think some guys will get the chance for "redemption".

I do prefer the mix of starting a couple of newbies with backup experience on the bench though. Provides the opportunity to have a cool untired head out there in the closing stages. Also that if the newbie is finding it tough you can switch them out.

I'd like to see Whitelock slide into that role with Vaii getting a start. Would put the heat on PT to step up as well.

I think that would be a good message to send to PT. I thought he was average. Now if we only have 40% possession and are tackling all the time maybe that is a possible reason for some players appearing absent.

Article on NZH mentions Ozzie’s lack of success at Eden Park since 1986.

Boks haven’t won there since 1937!

In fairness to Fozzie, I'm not convinced that rushing young guys into the starting line-up is the way to go. There's been a few that we've ruined over the years by throwing them in the deep end. Ideally, you ease them into the team with games against a few lesser lights (this year, the Argies).

Israel Dagg and Nehe Milner Skudder disagree.
Some players are made for test rugby.

Yep, but that may have slightly contributed to us tanking when going for Bill in 2019.

Loving the talk from Foster and Mo'unga about the rib rattlers - classic Cheika era stuff.

There's a heck of a lot of babies rolling out with that bathwater, after a game full of lethargy and errors that we drew.

One change in the forwards and a couple in the backs. Changes to the starting XV would probably ideally be guys from the bench.

I wanted those changes before the last test. The team selected was absurd in so many areas.

Sure, but runs on the board count. Guys are rusty in their first game of the season for a reason. Now we want the next team to have the same rust?

    Gently gently catchy monkey.

Fair point. There should be only minor changes.

    @bones

simple is Sotutu for a parental Savea, Clarke for Bridge swap and then BB for DMac.

I'm still not sold on JG/RI midfield, but in the absence of Jordie reading the fern and deciding to have a crack there, it's worth perservering with.
