The matchday 23 is as follows (test caps in brackets):
Very safe Team, happy for Clarke, Sotutu and Vaa'i . The only thing out of the ordinary is Reiko at Centre and ALB on the bench.
Reiko is a good selection at center. The odd selection is BB at FB and JB on the wing. I would prefer Clarke starting, JB at FB and BB in the reserves. Either BB starts at 1st or in the reserves. And I'm unsure if Goodhue is the best option at 2nd 5. Maybe ALB is a better option

Apparently Fozzie is facing the media at 12.
Plenty of time to load the guns. -

What are they thinking? Goodhue isn't a 12.
Buggering about with the midfield has been de rigeur for the last 4 years so Foster is obviously aiming for continuity.
-
SMH looks like they got it right too
Australia: Tom Banks, Filipo Daugunu, Hunter Paisami, Matt To'omua, Marika Koroibete, James O'Connor, Nic White, Harry Wilson, Michael Hooper (c), Pete Samu, Matt Philip, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Taniela Tupou, Folau Fainga'a, James Slipper.
Reserves: Jordan Uelese, Scott Sio, Allan Alaalatoa, Rob Simmons, Rob Valetini, Jake Gordon Noah Lolesio, Reece Hodge. -

4 years? you meant "over the entire course of professional rugby except when Nonu and Smith existed" right?
Shit, even Tana had a revolving door at 12 (including him on occasion)

Little and Bunce were steady for ever
Even having one consistent pick is nice ...

A tough schedule coming up for ABs (and Oz) 8 test matches in 9 weekends, including 2 vs worlds best team! All Tier 1 unlike when playing vs minnows in RWC
Not a campaign to start with a loss if you are playing players out of their best positions. Will lead immediately to second guessing.

welcome! welcome! welcome to Chiefs land, circa 2000s! i hope you all enjoy your stay
@Donsteppa i bet they all thought we were over-egging it then too
-
@mariner4life i got enough if it with Bender being played on the wing
-
Going against the grain here, I'm fine with the 14/15 selections. As I said a few days ago, BB is just way too good, even in current not-his-best form, to only play 30minutes. He needs to be there for 80, Md he is fit enough that he can still provide spark at the end without needing to have fresh legs.
JB also deserves a start, as he has been in great form, and provides a real point of difference with his size and place kicking from distance. I expect a few high balls to be sent to his wing in attack.
I dislike JG at 12, and Bridge is uninspiring. And I would def have started Sotutu and brought Savea off the bench for 35 minutes at whatever loose position he could best serve.

so play Jordie at 12! he'll be better than bloody Goodhue there.

get back in isolation, you are obviously ill
-
@Kiwiwomble For Bender the wing wasn't an unnatural position though, as he started there at the Highlanders. They only moved him to fullback when Dagg left.
-
@mariner4life should still be more than adequate to see off a young Wallabies side with a new coach at home.
