Reckon the return of the pimply giraffe had a lot to do with the turnaround in fortunes for the Canes. Ardie, PUJ TJ and the bloody-mindedness of the forward pack must also be hailed. Pretty decent effort in the end.

The only positive from Gatland coaching the Chiefs is that it shows he shouldn't ever be in consideration for coaching the All Blacks.
Although, I've heard doing a bad job at that helps get you the job...
I still can't wrap my head around Foster being head coach of the ABs right now.

Difficult to make a case for a better fullback in SR Aotearoa than Jordie.

It’s almost like the universe is also in shock, and has decided to delay his debut for as long as possible.

@No-Quarter thought ALB actually played better than he has in a while, showed some endeavour.
Telling play when chiefs get a turnover and hot on attack, Weber comes around the corner and the backline is standing still twenty metres back, still got an overlap though so Trask popguns it down the middle.

There are likely other factors at play but the backline has been far more accurate since his return, and he's been a big part of that. He seems to have found the right balance this year between trying to create, but ensuring he is doing the basics first and foremost. It's been a Nonu like transformation.

Canes looked awful in the first two games, seemed destined to be the whipping boys of the competition. Carlos leaves, JB comes back. Massive turnaround. Credit to Chris Holland and his squad for their hardwork.

@antipodean Crusaders fans will scream for Will Jordan

Nah, they won't.

It’s fair to say PUJ has won his 1v1 matchups against Ioane, Goodhue and now ALB in the last three games. Surely must be making a case for All Blacks, considering he covers 12 aswell and has the size and speed to foot it at test level.
-
@Canes4life Would really like to see how he goes at 12.

Great call. Such a big improvement from PUJ this season. If he keeps going with this level of progress, he could develop into a world-class Test midfielder.
