    So that's 9 in a row. I reckon they've got 15 in them.

    😂

Not sure why everyone was being so meek and mild midweek about ‘don’t be silly, don’t sack Gatland’.

Warren Gatland is completely worthless. And his assistants can be fired into the sun.

Really pleasing to see the classy, mature games from him and Perenara. A level above.

Thought the Chiefs showed a lot of spirit this week. Canes flattered a bit by the score, but I'll take the win.

    Ardie and JB were outstanding.

    Commiserations to the Chiefs fans.

Not sure Gatland's appointment did the franchise any favours.

@Donsteppa Worst perfomance from a Chiefs side in memory. going completely winless from a truncated season is totally unacceptable. Gatland and assistants can fark right off.

Gatland can go to the Lions and never come back.

Me, @mariner4life, and Baron could coach the Chiefs to zero and eight. But at least the squabbling in the coaches box would be entertaining.

Pretty messy game overall. Chiefs give themselves a chance but then just kill themselves with absurd errors. DMac and Weber right at the forefront of that. ALB is also really struggling. Cane knocking himself out was a blow though.

By contrast the Canes were below their best but our ABs stood up and got it done - TJP, Ardie and in particular Jordie hauled the team over the line, exactly as you would expect ABs to do at this level.

The only positive from Gatland coaching the Chiefs is that it shows he shouldn't ever be in consideration for coaching the All Blacks.

Although, I've heard doing a bad job at that helps get you the job...

Reckon the return of the pimply giraffe had a lot to do with the turnaround in fortunes for the Canes. Ardie, PUJ TJ and the bloody-mindedness of the forward pack must also be hailed. Pretty decent effort in the end.

I still can't wrap my head around Foster being head coach of the ABs right now.

Difficult to make a case for a better fullback in SR Aotearoa than Jordie.

It’s almost like the universe is also in shock, and has decided to delay his debut for as long as possible.

@No-Quarter thought ALB actually played better than he has in a while, showed some endeavour.

Telling play when chiefs get a turnover and hot on attack, Weber comes around the corner and the backline is standing still twenty metres back, still got an overlap though so Trask popguns it down the middle.

There are likely other factors at play but the backline has been far more accurate since his return, and he's been a big part of that. He seems to have found the right balance this year between trying to create, but ensuring he is doing the basics first and foremost. It's been a Nonu like transformation.
