Oh I definitely could take a punch from anyone. I'm not sure where I said that though. What is the male symbol supposed to mean? You cool kids have so many cool emojis.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/rugby/news/article.cfm?c_id=80&objectid=12353740

The one-off Pacific fixture is expected to be played at Mt Smart Stadium on October 3, one week before the first scheduled Bledisloe Cup test.

Negotiations are on-going between the 14 provincial unions and New Zealand Rugby around how many players will be made available for the Pacific side.

With the Mitre 10 Cup scheduled to start on September 11, provincial teams will be well into their work and preparing for their fourth round fixtures by the time the Pacific match takes place.

While the provincial unions appreciate the broadcast revenue the Pacific match will generate the New Zealand game, they are also concerned about the impact the fixture could have if too many leading players are stripped from their respective Mitre 10 Cup teams.

The Herald understands the preference from the majority of provincial unions is to allow one player per team to represent the Pacific side, but New Zealand Rugby is thought to want two from each team to be made available.

This sticking point is believed to be holding up an official announcement.

So the first bledis are over here? Cos otherwise the ABs would have to be in quarantine for two weeks in Oz first, so no chance for this game

So due to Victoria fucking things up in assuming we're gonna play a bunch of non tests. Why not a AB's vs AB XV? AB's vs MAB's?

Nah it's already planned around quarantine, both ways. It maybe Oz gives NZ an exemption, or minimal requirements, for when the ABs go to Oz. But there's is two weeks off between the first two and second two tests for quarantine.

    Fun fact I just Googled.

The actual spelling is derring-do. But at least one report says it appears that this spelling may have come about by mis-spelling daring do.

The things you learn on the fern.

Correct spelling, and the fact that Frans Botha is the greatest sportsman who ever competed in any sport.

World cup full match All Blacks v Springboks with Brit commentary -
Noted by the Rugby Onslaught website - that during the coin toss, All Black captain Kieran Read clearly calls heads before the toss. The coin then lands on heads. Rugby referee Jerome Garces then instantly gives Springbok captain Siya Kolisi the win on the toss despite this.
Kieran Read, noticing the mistake, had to call out the French referee on his blunder, who after being seen to be caught out continued to give Kolisi the choice of sides.

First I've read about the Maori touring Russia before Covid-19 hit.

The NZ Māori may not play a game this year as a result of Covid-19, with coach Clayton McMillan revealing that a two-game tour of Russia was scrapped mid-year while ongoing border closures made it nigh on impossible to arrange other fixtures.

β€œThe original plan was that the team was going to venture up to Russia in July, that normal test window we've been fortunate enough to play in for the past couple of years, but obviously with Covid-19 that all got canned,” McMillan told Stuff on Thursday.

    Is he really that dense?

Does he not understand the concept of revenue?

I've not been made party to the conversations, but there's no reason why the All Blacks couldn't come here stay in a hotel to self-isolate and play five and six test matches across the autumn."
