Now beat the Lions next week and go into the bye 5 - 2.

We've got Lions then Brumbies in two weekends at EP.

Brumbs shuld be a good game

    Edit: then the bye

Quoting myself, but hopefully we get some good home crowds.

    Should be packed out!

Pass the hat around and get Leon another house in Remuera! 🙂

yuo're joking, but I'd throw in a lazy few bucks 😃 After so many years of disappointment, we're finally starting to look like a rugby team.

Cowley-Tuioti showed his value in the 2nd half.

Well done Blues, the streak is over. 🙂

@Bovidae Yeah, GCT is a good lineout forward.

regardless of the brainless cards giving a bit of a hand, that will be a big monkey off the Blues backs!

They are shwoing the cards now on Sky 50. Remarkably dumb play, more of what I'm used to seeing from the Blues

Also, Akira played really well. That try was superb, but he was strong all game. Godo coming back with no matches under his belt

Canes got found out no depth at tight head. F.Smith played well IMO Gareth Evan's played. Fifita at lock or left right out. Flanders should be our 6 till Ardie comes back. Hope young Numia is ok for next week well done blues hope we get to play yous again

I think they got found out as being a bit dumb more to the point. Each card, totally avoidable.

Unplayable at times. NZ's Billy Vunipola. Must be in the ABs squad.

The kicking this year has been really good. You can see them seeing space and putting the ball in there; dragging players out of position, then kicking well. Long way to go, but goddamn it's better than we've seen for a while.

I love JK to bits as a human, but FFS he appears to be a terrible analyst or rugby coach. I cannot believe he got appointed and then left in place for so long.

Certainly outplayed Steve Hansen's favourite "special athlete" Vaea Fifita.

Standard slipping in super derbies. Thought Canes were refereed far too leniently in first half. Too much cynical stuff was let go or missed including kick chases from offside and side entries. Great touches from reiko and cowley tuioti though and fletcher Smith good for the canes. But I don't think it should ever be allowed to get to 12 v 15 in a match...

If I had to sum up that game it was Blues composure versus Canes lack of discipline.

Out defence and effort was incredible at times, especially considering the travel factor. And the Canes were lucky not to give away another Penalty try and the ref missed at least another two shoulder charges. A real issue for them that tackling technique. Unbelievably stupid.

It’s such a treat watching a well coached side, with an obvious game plan and the team putting out huge effort after huge effort.

Plenty to work on, lineout obviously , but this is a good team.

Return fixture for this one is going to be a beauty.

Up to the players not to tackle like that to avoid it, really.

Failed his concussion test, so might not have a choice.

I didn't see the first half but the game turned on Lomax getting his red card. Canes couldn't maintain discipline and execute. Bad decisions by individuals led to the 12 on 15 situation

Second top tackler for the Blues, I think. No misses, lots of good tackles, some strips and good effort for his try. Was busy and worked hard, and if Robinson hadn’t gone off I expect he was due to be subbed. So had to go 80, which will be good for him.

He’s the best player we have for getting turnovers too.

Him lining up with Sotutu and Dalton would be pretty interesting!
