@mariner4life I'm not interested in team lines or Grace (too young). It was a comment on his height (193cm).
I'd like to see Jacobson at 6 (possibly covering 8).
It's all about the combos. Who are the locks and how tall are they. Who are the other loosies and what's their height.

i agree. My thoughts are is, if 2 of our starting loosies are Cane and Savea (npt something i agree with) then 193 is too short

@mariner4life Shannon Frizell will be happy to read that.

@mariner4life I'm not blaming them - but, I reckon if we'd had a more general level of calm then maybe that push doesn't happen.
nup, I'm not having that. SW is supposed to bring the calm. He's an experienced player who is also a captain. It's his job to rise above the storm and provide stability for the others to feed off, not the other way around.
I'll give you that, with hindsight, there was a distinct lack of leadership across the park. And that definitely had an effect. But i will not go so far as to forgive a leader for a boneheaded play.
This. That was completely unforgivable and that single act alone should rule him out of any captaincy discussions.

@Crucial having interviewed Jerome Kaino ,and Victor Vito was standing beside him ,there is no way in gods earth he is 1.96..is that the old 6ā4 measurement..?, Vito is 6ā2, Jerome is about an inch taller, I have picture of them standing together and there is hardly any difference ..
Much of the stats are very suspect, I have heard commentators , Ken Laban for example is shocking ..they add height and weight on to players , it does my head in ,Solomon Alaimalo is supposed to be 6ā5, Solomon is 6ā3, spoken to him many times and even joked about his height...
Julian Savea was another one who is 6ā2 but I have commentators saying is the same height as a Jonah..
Israel Folau is listed at 6ā3 on Wikipedia..,he is actually 6ā5, and their is no way even Jerome or Solomon are taller than Israel.. -
I'm 187 and i wasn't tall in country football. i find it hard to believe these guys are a couple of cm taller then me.
-
I'd like to see a return to the JABS - would be a handy gauge on guys like Big Red, Sotutu, Miaele-Tu, Parkinson, Grace, Fakatava (if he ever takes the field) and ye - even Akira.

@sparky if Cullen Grace can repeat his game from the weekend numerous times I think he is a good option in back row at 6. Jumper plus tough. Possibly a year to early though
i thought i read he is "only" 190cm? That's probably a touch short
although a good jumper can play "taller"
Send him to Ardie Baba.

Well you would think the AB's will Start Cane and Savea surley they are our best 2 LF's so the 3rd LF you would think has height otherwise we are compromised a bit come line out time, With the hints by Foster on needing physicality are they looking for a enforcer like Kanio.
It takes awhile for that sort of player to develop into the uncompromising hard enforcer, who isn't a liability with brain explosions in the heat of battle. -

It takes awhile for that sort of player to develop into the uncompromising hard enforcer, who isn't a liability with brain explosions in the heat of battle. With presumably Cane playing 7 and Ardie playing 8, we'll need a tall bruiser to give us (a) some height and (b) some physicality. Who that is, I do not know.
However, I can see S Barrett perhaps being the obvious choice to fill that role as he has, at least, the height requirement. I guess this will depend what our locking stocks look like come the middle of the year.
The other obvious 6 options Frizell or Fifita, but I don't see that happening without either one or both of them toughening-up significantly and becoming the modern-day Jerry Collins (with Cane and Ardie being McCaw and So'oilao, respectively).

That's a hard no to SBarrett at 6 for me.
