I'm only interested in trying the "Impossible" burger, which sounds better than the others.
If BK can make a Whopper that tastes great without meat, I'm happy to try it for the apparent health benefits.
They don't! Trust me!

I assume no one here was a business class customer when Air NZ had these on their menu?
May have been but as business class you have a choice of what to eat and it certainly wouldnt have been a fake burger

There was a woman on the radio today touting chicken free chicken and bacon free bacon from these guys:
Whatever the pros and cons there was one thing that caught my ear. She said that they had IP for ( I think I’m getting this right) converting the proteins into long string proteins to give us a meaty texture that tears. I’m not sure how true that is but any chemists can probably critique it.
But the thing that really irked me was the announcer woman let her off with a claim that this stuff isn’t processed, because by “processed“ people mean things done to take the goodness away. Now that’s some smelly bullshit. Processed means you do something to change the natural state of it. Which makes this processed. It doesn’t mean it’s any worse, and to be honest I don’t think even the most dubious food manufacturer starts out with the intention of making food that tastes worse and will fuck up people’s health.
But it is processed and I don’t think these manufacturers should get away with claiming it is natural just because it’s sourced from a plant. Because so are Twinkies.

It's processed.
But actually, the chicken free chicken is really good. And frankly, probably the carbon free future I suspect. I'd try their new ones ...

I've been disturbed by the rise of low and no alcohol beers which I suspect are made for people who secretly just like to pee a lot but this is so so so much worse.
Used to fully agree. Now ...
Greggs in the UK has launched a vegan sausage roll which I’m kind of curious about ...

@MajorRage Most of their stuff is pretty much meat free... going by the taste alone.

Everybody has their guilty pleasures ... I love a steak bake.

I used to love their steak and cheese rolls, closest you could get to a BP pie. They fucken replaced them with the vegan roll.
I must say I do like me a falafel burger... although I do like to fuck with people and add bacon to it.

That echoes my mate Branchy “I’ve had some lovely vegetarian meals and I just pop a pork chop on top as a garnish”.

@Catogrande he could go full vego and put a chicken breast on top instead.

Wait a minute ... replace?
I've not been in Greggs for a while ... are you suggesting that some of their core pikey-enticing menu has been replaced for the man-bun crowd?
EDIT: Went on their website .. they are still advertising it there so should still be available. I also noted that you can get a personalised gift card for you loved one for Greggs. Reckon I know what Mrs Rage is getting now ... Thanks to TSF again!

@MajorRage you got my hopes up AND you made me go on their website! To be honest I'd never even considered they might have one. Funny.
Anyway, steak and cheese roll is absent.
Right. I was looking at their nutrition tables.

@Bones "No bacon".
It's a steak and egg sandwich. More criminal is the no beetroot.
