@Stargazer although some of these guys are still playing M10 Cup, so not really exiting?

I dont think Roberts-Te Nana is presently contracted to Northland, but he is one I think they were keen to have back.

@mariner4life You seem to have misunderstood my post. It's not about when a signing is announced but when the player is actually going to play somewhere else.

If tomorrow, someone like Ben Lam announces he has signed with Toulon for the 2020/2021 season, that's a perfect example of an exodus for the 2020 exodus thread.

@taniwharugby Someone can leave and return. We've always posted announcements in the exodus threads of players who were going to play a season in Japan (when it still overlapped M10 Cup) and returning for the following SR season. I don't see how this is any different.

@Stargazer said in Exodus 2019 (player departures for 2019/2020 NH season):

@mariner4life Nope. MLR is the only NH comp that hasn't started yet. It starts on 8 Feb, so probably no signings to be expected after that date. So only 3 and half weeks to go.

Really looking forward to it, I'll be watching the Colorado Raptors, who do have a small NZ connection:
    Michael Curry Flanker New Zealand
Michael Stewart Number 8 New Zealand
Sam Slade Number 8 New Zealand
    Rene Ranger Centre New Zealand
    Mason Emerson Fullback New Zealand

@Darren Do you know anything about whether these games are livestreamed? I remember that games used to be streamed on FB, but can't remember whether that was last year, or under the old format.

could you start a specific thread for discussions about the competition please, this is for very specific players signing for a very specific time only

I know they were putting them on their youtube

    Major League Rugby

    Major League Rugby

Major League Rugby is a professional sports league representing the highest rugby competition in North America. The League evolved from seven teams in 2018 to 11 teams in 2025...

I think last year they were on facebook live

I found this on MLR website
"North American fans are enjoying more access to domestic professional rugby than ever before this year, with 22 games broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network and others available on ESPN+ and via teams’ regional broadcast deals. The Season 2 MLR Final will air on CBS network television."

So not making it super easy, a bit of all over the place by the sounds of it.

Do we need a new thread for each year? Just add each new exit to a generic Exodus thread.

If you ever wondered what would happen if Sheldon off the Big Bang theory became a rugby fan I think you have your answer.

@Stargazer weird I thought O'Donnell would stick around, saw him at Countdown a couple of weeks ago haha. Does the MLR season run through M10 cup?

@Yeetyaah The last games of the regular season are played on 31 May 2020, and are followed by 3 weeks of finals (conference semi-finals, conference finals and a final). So the MLR finishes in June.

Joe Ravouvou (BOP) has signed with Bayonne from the 2020-2021 season (Top 14). No indication of the duration of his contract in the media release.

@Yeetyaah why do think a guy would stick around to play for 4 months. With GRR MLR a south american comp all operating in the same time slot it will enable mitre10 players to become full professionals.

Now I'm just confused. Is this thread about Bob Marley's classic album?
