Perhaps too soon for post mortems and obituaries. But here goes.
Hansen's strengths were his organisation and his ability to stay cool and come across as an ordinary Kiwi bloke under fire. He has a good heart and good values.
The weakness was his coaching. I don't think he did much to turn his players into better performing athletes. His side was never really the same after Wayne Smith left. In the end, his selection was found out too.

Oh and by the way, this post 2015 team just isn't a patch on the previous side stacked with all-time greats. No-one could have done any better with the cattle available. Losing convincingly to a very good England side shouldn't be a major surprise to anyone given the patchy form shown throughout the 2016-19 era and the lesser standard of players available in general.

As his assistants got weaker (with Smith moving on) he seemingly delegated more. Tough to keep a high performance environment when most player probably rate their super coaches higher than Foz & co.
