RWC: Wales v South Africa (SF2)

The bench for me is the biggest difference between the sides, the Boks reserve front row is every bit as good as those starting.
Without Navidi we lack physicality in the backrow too, Moriarty hasn't hit form much recently - he needs a huge performance.
Both centres are crocked too which doesn't help, I can see a Bok win by 10+ -

May be bullshit. Not sure.
No chance without him and Jonathan Davies - who's yet to be confirmed.
In time honoured Fern tradition, when's the team named?
-
Fuck. Not fake news
-
@MiketheSnow just a scare so far.
Don't fret until confirmed.Plus, Leigh Halfpenny is hardly a poor replacement.

Yep he's gone. There are not many times you can say we will sorely miss a bandy legged rugby player, but this is one of them. Things have just got tougher.

From a mate
"Everything happens for a reason.
Halfpenny in and his three penalties along with tries from North and Adams help us comfortably beat SA who are too one-dimensional without Kolbe.
Then, in the World Cup Final against England, Halfpenny has a 50m kick in the last minute to win it. He wants it. He’s a nice guy. He deserves it. So does Alun Wyn. So does Gatland. So does Warburton. It creeps over the bar and Wales are world champions. Circle complete."
Cheers Rob

Shame not just for wales, i enjoy watching him play

@MiketheSnow

Second lions test 2013. Halfpennyu has 50m kick to win it. Is about 20m short.
Ain't happening.

Just showing my ignorance here but aren't Marx and Titsoff the best in their positions, why don't they start?
Read or heard somewhere Marx has a few lineout throwing inaccuracies too.

wow, they were just saying on the Radio, SA have won just 1/10 matches under Garces...

I can't believe that the 'stuff' power meter thing has Whales as the favourites!
In a "you bet your life scenario" I would have my money on the Boers everytime!

Did they say how many Wales have won?

It depends on the calibre of their opponents. I mean if most of them were countries like NZ, Japan, Italy, and other Rugby Championship teams that beat them regularly then it is not that surprising, even allowing for Garces' exentricities.
It would be interesting to see Faeces stats with SH v NH teams overall.
I suspect his “French style” doesn’t gel with SH play. He tends to look flustered when the pace is fast
