Dave Rennie is the front runner, apparently.

I can't believe they haven't sounded out Jones to take the reins again. I know he's been there and done that, but that was 14 years ago and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.

Well he did say he wanted to coach a tier 2 team again after England....

Seriously, though, we talked about this with Henry as well. They will put systems in place to generate the players with attributes they need. Hansen's just done this wtih props - get mobile, or get gone. Simple.

It's about systems. We don't have any of note.

MacQueen and his team came together at just the right time and it took more than a year to get them pointed in the same direction

Was McKenzie on track before he fiddled and got caught?

Hard to say. From all reports, he had his favorites and would stick with them regardless.

Maybe his attitude was better (or better expressed) than Cheika. But look at that tweet from Quade - does that look like the culture was of a high standard when that guy is your first choice?

Genia's got an attitude problem as well. Many in Australia will refuse to countenance that.

While the Reds were winning, nobody cared

Some of the bad eggs, like Genia, are gone now anyway. You guys need new up and comers and someone to change the culture. Wait, I have just the man

    alt text

Just the man to lead Australia to number 25 in the world.

Not 100% surprising there were potential attitude issues when th e's head honcho actively cultivated his own.

I meant it's funny how issues in the dressing sheds aren't a problem when you're winning.

Leaving aside his temper and eccentricities and however good he might be technically as a coach - much like Deans the coaching game had very much passed him by. He thinks he can do it all himself, no assistant of any substance wanted to work with him or learn from him.

Two or three smart heads (plus the other backroom staff) are going to be beat him and his rabble any time.

@Billy-Webb not sure, got sent it via messenger. Basically he goes absolutely psycho and severely belittles some players but pretty hard to make out who.

Mods reckon it's OK to post?

@Bones provided you think it is not liability inducing, it should be ok... but maybe PM it to @Duluth or @Kirwan first. They can make the call.

I have always maintained that his old school approach is totally overdone and doesn't help the team performance.

I'm sure that the likes of Hansen, Jones, Joseph have the spray technique tucked away for shock value but Cheika appears to embrace a blame culture.
In the box he disputes every decision that doesn't go his way leaving the players with a big excuse and chip on their shoulders but then to shake them out of that he blames the players at half time.
He will turn around after a loss and say 'I must do better, the result is on my shoulders' but it always comes across as empty words that don't match his actions.

Very easy to sit back and say that young players should be tougher etc but that plain facts are that kids grow up in a different society today and to get the best out of them takes a different approach. The ABs are always looking to evolve in both coaching and team management to get the best results but Oz keep looking backwards.
