@Crucial huh weird I swear I've seen footage of him in the pale blue and white. Yet he captained Rongotai. Go figure.
That’s right, Rongotai, not the paddies.
Not many graduates of UH schools make it to the highest levels although now mullets are acceptable (Goodhue) the signs are promising.
Thomas, Scooter and Aaron beg to differ.
Aaron?
CJ is the only UH AB of recent history
Persico. The almighty Italian.
What's recent exactly?
I wasn't going to go back to the Leslies or Kirton, or even Mannix..
even Thomas the tank engine played his last test for the noms 19 years ago!
The point is that there is hardly a great production line, just the odd few that come through
I'm astounded he last played for England when he was about 16. How bloody old was he when he debuted?
13
(if you want the real answer it was 6 years ago)
Depends on if you think his Wainui birth certificate is correct or not eh.
Yeah, most of these SPS boys aren't really Upper Hutt. Just visitors from the lower reaches.
I'll have you know me ma is from Wallaceville!

That figures. I understand there used to be some pretty out there experiments at the old Wallaceville Research Centre.

England / NZ / France / Japan
By the way I made the top 50 in the NPC tipping.
Makes sense. Glaring error(s) obvious to spot :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:
Can I change my vote? After seeing the power and might of that Springbok side, how could anyone tip against them. No contest. Contest there is none.

France FINALLY playing more than 20 minutes of rugby
just an aside, but i watched the 2011 Qtr v England last night, and realised my memory of France being a bit shit right up to the final was misplaced, they played beautiful rugby in that game

I was at that game with some English supporters. Fun times.

@mariner4life
France had a very good tournament with their regular roller coaster form in parts, but they did play some damn good footy. -

France also had a very good ~30 minutes against Wales in the opening 6N game but they completely forgot how to play rugby as a team in the second half and Wales stole it.
There have been glimpses of what could be a very good French team but there seems to be an underlying issue possibly highlighted by the recent attempted mutiny after a falling out between the captain Guirado and coach Brunel. It certainly wouldn't be the first time an international French team had fallen out with the coach and gone on to better things.

That 49 goes down to 5 if France hold on...

@ACT-Crusader yeah I'd be out

I’m out now.
44 still in.
-
I’m out too.
Thought the Aussies would cause the QF upset.
But England were convincing winners. Disappointed the Aussies didn’t step up. -
@Machpants Over 50%
Edit: 40 voters = 51%
-
@Machpants not that I followed the bookies, but thats why the odds for that multi was shite....and when you look at the scores, only 1 game was in danger of going the other way.

So how many of us got it right by the clever tactic of following the bookies?
I certainly did. The bookies actuaries are better at probability calculation and risk analysis than me, even if they have never played rugby and are nerds.
