Scotland aren't going to be in quarters. Forget about it. Winning from here looks unlikely, winning by more than 7 and denying a 4th try is impossible.

If accurate is a pretty good breakdown.

At half time, Scotland are whinging losers.

Territory and possession well above 70% for Japan. They are towelling Scotland up, and there is no way they can come back here.

Should have just taken the earlier flight

Is it churlish of me to enjoy the fact the ref is a kiwi?

What an excellent game. So if Japan score one more try what’s the scenario?

Japan finish top of the pool and play SA
    We play Ireland

Don’t want to go off topic, but bring on Ireland.

I think we are going to smash them.

I can't help but feel that the new game the coaches have been developing has been to beat the worst of the NH style, aka Ireland.

Just copy the Japanese. Probably means starting Weber.

This Japanese teams looks several tiers up from the team the ABs played, last year. This team is a danger to every single opponent in the finals.

They've spent about 7 months in camp together.

Luckily Scotland can ground out the match with their pack. Oh wait.

Their pack isn't good enough. South Africa were brutal in their forward play, ensuring Japan couldn't get quick forward ball.

    Scotland aren't in that league.

What a half!!! How on earth did we get in a position where the Sunwolves are dropping out of Super rugby? Surely this WC is going to spur on a huge amount of support.

I take it all back I would much rather Ireland in the quarters than Japan, the speed and accuracy is well..All Black like.

The Japanese wingers are a joy to watch. Freaking fast!

The matchup with the little Bok winger will be awesome.

The ABs and Japan are playing a similar frenetic style of rugby this WC. And I have to say, Japan have done it a bit better thus far. Their WC run to date is the stuff of folklore.z

Gotta say the offload game of the Japanese is incredible, thought you had to be a product of the NZ conveyor belt to have those skills.

If we had Japan in the QF I’d worry it would be like that Wales WC game 50-30

They are excellent. But they haven't played anyone as good as us. We have the pace and the power
