I think the Uruguay no. 2 has to go to the bin for that. He just pulled it down right in front of the ref. Can't be assed quoting the law, but pretty sure a YC is mandatory there.

I wonder whether referees at the RWC realise that some of the players from non-english speaking countries might not understand what they're saying. About 15 minutes ago, Gardner said something to an Uruguayan forward and ended with "Do you understand". Looking at the expression on the player's face, he didn't understand anything of what he was saying.

To be fair some English speakers struggle to understand Australians.

Fuck why is the Japan game on so late. Pretty inconsiderate. 🤔

Yep - keen to hear how others are dealing with the late game?

I've decided to squeeze a cup of coffee in between bottles #1 and #2 of red, and also plan to fire up a cheese board as a sort of 2nd dinner in 20mins or so - hoping that combo can buy me an extra 90mins or so before I fall asleep with the telly blaring...

Proves even Aussies can understand Kiwis.

Uruguay bash their way over and Wales are lucky not to have someone in the bin.

Might put some popcorn on, another coffee perhaps. Missus is out of action so can't kill 5 minutes there.

Should be one in the bin regardless. There were a bunch of PK infringements in that movement which resulted in the try.

I’m quite amazed how much Uruguay have improved. They were rubbish in 2015

Did I read somewhere when they qualified for the world cup they made the top side professional and paid them. So they trained hard and got fit.

I think we should send the Maori ABs on another tour of South America, including a game against Uruguay.

World Rugby put a bit of development money into Uruguay after last RWC and they get a bit of help from the Argies
