RWC: England v USA (Pool C)

Knowing how integral Billy V is to England's chances of advancing out of this pool and on, I can't fathom why he's even being considered for this match.
That'll mean he'll start at every match in this WC.
Asking for trouble.

I've mentioned before that he over works his Vunipolas. And I guessthis will be Tuilagi's only rest. No one else hits up anywhere as near as effectively

Whilst I agree with you, Eddie might say "Look at Lawrence Dallaglio at RWC 2003". Every minute of every game and he was pretty fundamental to England's gameplay too. Not quite in the Billy level I admit.

You know England's depth is superb when you have powerhouses like Willi Heinz and Piers Francis in the 2nd team!
Heinz has been superb over the last 12 months in the Premiership for Gloucester. I think his leadership could be important in what will be some close games coming up. It was a close call between him and Care for that spot, but there were other good halfbacks that he got picked over as well.

He also played for Canterbury, so that makes him pretty fuckin' awesome as well!!

Liked for its predictability.

So bizarre by Eddie, humble reaction from USA though
"At this stage, with all due respect, we're not a good enough rugby team to be making comments or answers to questions like that," Gold, a South African, said when asked for his reaction to Jones' 15 Donald Trumps comparison. "I don't know what it means."It is really unfortunate but here in the US the world cup is not really featuring anywhere at all.
NBC own the rights and are charging a ridiculous amount to show it, so I have to resort to streaming the games. Hard to grow rugby when no one can afford to watch it.Anyway, go the US and pull off a huge upset

Well I guess Eddie is doing his part to try and get some attention
A number of those Uruguay players come from the USA league I see.

Piers Francis has looked easily at home in test rugby - almost as good as Parkes.
Damning with faint praise.

Not really when Parkes is one of the best performers in one of the other top teams in the world.

@Bones well I was being light hearted... but sure....
Things get pretty edgy when blues players are criticised around here...

I really like Eddie Jones

He is the biggest piston wristed gibbon in world rugby.

Final margin ~35 points?
I expect some of the big contenders will be doing much the same as the All Blacks did four years ago; using minnows to develop their game.
Eddie is a smart coach so I exoect he has a plan other than simply win and give his wider squad a hit out.
