Perhaps they should go back to driving mauls 😉

It took them 76 minutes to score their bonus point try.

Bonus points might be key in this pool. Can't see Argentina beating England but stranger things have happened.

You can't read too much into this game, I suppose, but England's handling has been utter shite

You know what, they really should. There's something 2011-ish about England's performance today - sloppy, petulant, churlish and entirely unconvincing against opposition they should beat easily. I still expect them to win this pool, but they might not do it completely unscathed. Similarly, if I was Aus or Wales, I would not be completely terrified of playing them in a QF.

Classic. English commentator summoning the ignorant ghost of yesteryear. Billy born in Tonga apparently.

Just said he was Tonga raised. I've no major issue as he's one of theirs but he was born in Sydney and raised in Wales.

No. It was the kick off, Vunipola caught it and he said it's caught by a player born in Tonga.

I know, I'm just saying he is neither born nor raised in Tonga.

I think England will be pretty damn happy.

Kept the opposition to just the penalty, didn't even look like scoring a try.

    No injuries.

    Dry Powder.

    Bonus point win.

Even though the final score is 35 - 3 against them, I somehow can't say Tonga have been bad. Before the game, I expected an awful monster score, and that's not what it is. So well done Tonga!

35-3 FT. Good effort from the Tongans, and also a good hitout for the English.

Did anyone find England's performance convincing?
I know they did the minimum required at this stage, but they made a lot of mistakes. I expected more from them.

Considering the opposition, no. They would have been aiming for a BP win so to not score a try in the first 25 is pretty poor.
