Would much rather see Patrick Tuitupolou in the starting lineup than Scott Barrett.

Thought the blueprint in the 2nd Bled worked well. Tight 5 are tight and A Smith box kicks like Murray and our wingers chase like cheetahs. Our two poachers then cause issues at the breakdown.

Have been thinking about this. I think they will go with almost all players who played against Tonga, with a couple of others they can slide in. Otherwise people are coming in wihtout a match for a month, which is damn tough, particularly in the forwards.

Still gutted we lost Luke Jacobson. That kid's got a massive future

All the scenarios say that Reiko is toast for this game? I find that a little hard to believe. In saying that, I really want Bridge to start

I think they'll pick him. Wingers can come up to speed more easily in training I reckon - it's not so physical out there.

He's still favourite to be top try scorer (just in front of Sevu Reece) ...

His powder is the driest, so I guess it's time to let him loose!!!

@canefan ya got that right. 5 year contract, with big money for a winger - they obviously see him as something special

I'd pick Rieko on the bench for this one. I'd have Bridge and Ben Smith as my starting wings - and to be honest, despite the X-factor Reece can bring, I think he brings a lot less security and more defensive risk - he'd be comfortably my fourth choice wing. Though I won't be overly surprised to see Hansen pick him to start. πŸ™‚

He's only 22. AB wingers don't usually fall off the cliff until 27. Perhaps he needs a change of scenery. Send both the brothers to the Canes, Plumtree with complete their training πŸ˜‰

@nzzp I agree. One bad game in which our forwards were smashed by the Aussies, Barret did a SBW and his career as a starting wing is over. Don’t think so.

Reece's defence has picked up since making the All Blacks. I think either Reiko/Reece on one side and Bridge on the other.

@Hooroo It was Sevu who charged out of the line to open the hole for Tonga when they scored.

    You're probably right.

I was being a bit simplistic in my thought process around defence in that he didn't miss any tackles he attempted.

@Hooroo I dropped Sevu then and there - but, that certainly doesn't mean Hansen will. πŸ™‚

Not sure what their thinking is on playing one of Rieko or Bridge on the right wing.

I kind of think they'll want lots of experience on the park and that points to Ben Smith. But, you can pretty much rationalize picking anyone.

I think you're right and it will come as no surprise if it is Reiko, BB and Smith.

yep, like @canefan said, only 22. Our wingers don't usually go past 26/27 before being usurped - one of the reasons we have so many people on the top tryscorers list, but not usually at the top of the tries list, but dominate the tries/test list.

Dougy has less than half the blokes above him and below him.

And did the same in BA and stopped a try - risk and reward. Tonga would have scored anyway against one less back.

That said, I'd play BFA on the right wing to combat the expected aerial bombardment from the Boks.
