<p>Some of Mundine's boxing has been good, drawing praise from even the harshest critics.</p>

<p>Talented without doubt, but he spoils it with that stupid flapping thing under his nose.</p> -
<p>The good news for Hayne is with the 49ers being so horrible - it actually increases his chances of seeing more action as they look for a spark.</p>

<p>For one - it is possibl he takes over kickoff returns as DeAndrew White the rookie was poor in this regard. Wouldn't surprise me to see Hayne featured a bit in the offense too - try and get him in some space.</p> -

<p>Yeah - also general kick return is seen as a more dangerous role - as is more of a case of the opposition flying down the field from 70 yards away whereas from a punt there are more variables.</p>

<p>So much so that the NFL have actually changed the rules to bring the spot of the kickoff closer to the endzone so that it is more likely to result in the ball being kicked dead (resulting in an automatic start from the 20 yard line) or result in the opposition taking a knee inside the endzone (also resulting in an automatic start from the 20 yard line) - fewer 'live' kickoffs hopefully resulting in fewer injuries.</p>

<p>So you might sometimes see a star player on punt return but not kickoff return due to injury risk. Not that it matters much at present in Hayne's case - as Hayne is not a star worth protecting at this point - however when Reggie Bush comes back he may take over punt returns (although not if Hayne keeps returning like vs Arizona).</p> -

<p>What I saw was a bloke who was used to identifying space, making a quick decision, and putting in a good effort. That's bread and butter for someone like Hayne, with the added benefit of blockers. He must love that shit.</p> -

<p>The 49ers Special Teams coach has made comment about Hayne as punt returner vs kick returner</p>

<p>“Not to say Jarryd can’t do it, but that’s not his strong suit,†49ers special teams co-ordinator Thomas McGaughey told reporters on Wednesday (US time). </p>
<p>“His strong suit is punt return and that’s what we are going to continue to make him flourish in.â€</p>
<p>“If you look at the space in a punt return, it’s a lot more as opposed to the space in a kick-off return,†McGaughey said.</p>
<p>“It can get real tight in a hurry in kick-off returns.</p>
<p>“That’s still something he’s still trying to get a feel for. I think his strength is punt return and that’s what we are going to do.â€</p>
<p>“Jarryd is our best punt catcher,†McGaughey said.</p>
<p>“He fields the ball naturally. I mean, you saw the one he caught over his shoulder in the pre-season game.</p>
<p>“The first ball he put on the ground was the one he did in the game. Since he’s been here I hadn’t seen him drop one in practice.â€</p>

<p>As long as he knows to take a knee if he catches the ball in the endzone and not feel the need to run it out. No goal line drop out in Yankball.</p> -
<p>So week 4 kicks off the NFL's London series with Jets V Dolphins on Sunday (UK time) and with the RWC going on the two sports will no doubt get compared by all the journos from Yankeeland and Pomgolia. NFL will struggle this weekend for media time in UK due to England V Australia on Saturday night (UK time).</p>

<p>49ers with another horrible offensive performance - their worst offensive game since 1964 apparently. Their defense played quite well against the best QB in the game Rodgers but their offense has so many problems - their offensive line is trash, their coordinator looks overmatched and Kaepernick looks he is close to being spent as a starter in 49er-land. A few more weeks of this and something will give.</p>

<p>In other notable results, the giants beat the Bills (who had a few players out injured), the Skins beat the Eagles to leave Philly 1-3, Rams beat the high-flying Cardinals and Houston's QB back and forth continues with Hoyer replacing Mallett. </p> -
<p>Lottery hopefuls San Francisco got humbled today by their rival Seattle Seahawks 20-3 on TNF. Jarryd Hayne was not active for the game, so Australia can use that as the reason the 49ers lost. Starting to think the Hayne Plane is struggling with the stop/start/stop/start/stop/tv break/timeout break/start/no stop tv break again/start/stop nature of the NFL.</p>

<p>They lost the rugby union , now Australia's greatest ever athlete has been cut by the San Francisco 49ers. Tbh anyone watching the NFL saw this coming this week. The head coach who's name I can't remember is panicking because he's probably going to be fired after one season and couldn't wait for Hayne to develop.</p>
