Wales 13 - 6 England
Not a classic but we've gone from shithouse to penthouse.
England looked bereft.
"Highlights" of Wales-England. England looked clueless with the ball in this one. Wales were committed and very well-organised.

Scotland were absolutely terrible and France looked decent enough.
I don’t even think it would be an upset if japan beat Scotland. They’re currently 7th and 9th although France may now be 7th and Scotland 8th.
I think Argentina won’t get out of their pool with England and France advancing.
French revival?

@sparky that try should have never happened, yellow card guy still on and HIA in progress. Ridiculous. But oh well
There are always deals where the french are involved

I agree and thought it was a harsh yellow card too. The French refs and their fondness for dishing out cards are a concern with the RWC imminient.

27 mins goneI can barely understand the Welsh commentator. Like, 10%, listening carefully.

Too fast for you? 😉Too white for me haha

Every time Scotland wear that abortion of an away strip they deserve to be absolutely pummeled.
French back play looked wonderful. But all based on solid forward display.
Japan would have beaten Scotland at the last WC if the schedule had fallen for them better - very short turnaround.
Would not be surprised if they advance this time.

Ha ha. Brilliant.
There was plenty of drinking post-training.

Bollocks.
Watson knew exactly what he was doing.
If the ball had got away, Wales would have scored.
Correct decision. Need more of them. Earlier in the match too.
And yes, Biggar should have been told to take the penalty again.
-
@MiketheSnow It was a penalty. No more. IMHO.
Long way from the try line and enough doubt for me that it was a poor attempt at an intercept rather than deliberate foul play.

We'll agree to disagree.
Closer to the try line it would have been a penalty try IMHO.

In the post match interview MOTM Dan Biggar said
"Special thanks to JJ Williams for all his comments this week"
Biggar was responding to former Wales wing JJ Williams' comments saying Wales would not win the WC with Biggar at 10.
Despite Biggar's performance yesterday Williams is correct IMHO.
Alternatively Wales has no chance unless Navidi is on the park.
He is integral to Moriarty playing at his best and Wales having a dominant backrow.
I would have loved to see Ellis Jenkins join them, but think our best combination at the moment is Wainwright, Navidi, Moriarty with Tipuric on the bench.

Agree and agree. Though initially I thought the knock on accidental, but on review a clear yellow. The try should not have stood but was really well taken, so I sort of don’t mind. The better side won, so no complaints.

Just quoting this as it needs to be repeated. What a ridiculous strip.

France’s Paul Gabrillagues has been cited by independent citing commissioner Shaun Gallagher (England) for an alleged act of foul play contrary to Law 9.20 (dangerous play in a ruck or maul) during the 17th minute of the France versus Scotland test match in Nice on Saturday, 17 August. The hearing will take place on 20 August in London and will be heard by an independent panel comprising Chair Antony Davies (England), former international referee Donal Courtney (Ireland) and former international player Stefan Terblanche (South Africa).

What do you think of Wales draw? There is only one genuine gimme in the pool and that’s Uruguay. Australia and to a lesser extent Fiji are capable of winning and Georgia should be robust enough. I reckon Georgia would be more than happy with claiming third spot ahead of Fiji and if they add a good performance against Wales...crying shame Georgia isn’t in pool A TBH.

Our second string have beaten both Fiji and Georgia in recent years, so it should be a shoot-out for top spot with Australia.
But injuries and brain-farts could see us knocked out a la 2007
