Crotty and SBW are finished after the cup. Laumape will have chance to stake his claim
Nonu missed the 2007 World Cup squad , laumape is young enough to go again .
So what you're saying is, if Laumape misses out we lose this world cup?
But win the next two?
He would have needed to play and lose in 2015 though...
I think he was still playing for the Warriors then, does that count? :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
They lost plenty so it probably does , was he wearing mascara?

@ACT-Crusader RWC squad is announced before this game, so I can't see Laumape or Ennor playing as they aren't going to Japan
Thereās nothing stopping us from playing guys that arenāt in the RWC squad given we have some injuries

I thought they arranged the game specifically as a hit out for the squad - I'd think they'd avoid outsiders unless completely necessary.

Yeah but say at lock they wouldnāt have expected Rettalick and Barrett to be unavailable. Would be foolish to risk Whitelock so they will need some reinforcements. Or is Barrett back for that one?
Potentially Ioane gets a run at 10, the locks and maybe one loosie depending on the Squire situation.
Captaincy probably Smith or Cane if he still needs another gallop?

One game against the Turbos counts as 3 weeks obviously

"With respect to sanction the Foul Play Review Committee deemed the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of 6 weeks due to World Rugby instructions that dictate any incident of foul play which results in contact with the head and/or neck must start at a mid-range level. However, taking into account mitigating factors including the Player's exemplary judicial record, his expressed remorse and the fact the Player has pleaded guilty at the first available opportunity, the Foul Play Review Committee reduced the suspension to 3 weeks." "The Foul Play Review Committee adjourned the hearing to seek more evidence regarding the Player's proposed schedule of matches. Upon reconvening the Foul Play Review Committee was presented with extensive evidence demonstrating the Player's intended playing schedule." "The player is therefore suspended for 3 weeks, up to and including Sunday 1 September 2019.ā
So that's Bledisloe 2, Taranaki v Northland and Taranaki v Ta$man.

Nonu missed the 2007 World Cup squad
Was the making of him in many ways. Worked hard on his game after that
Nonu post-2007 was consistently outstanding - became a blend of raw power, skill and subtle touches

Who's 4th?

If Josh Ioane is not in the squad - and I don't expect them to pick him - then I'd like TWM to try out the "injured 10" scenario in the second half of this game. So start BB or RM at 10 in this game, and replace him in the game management role by the best playmaker of the non-first fives (I think that's probably Crotty) and make sure you have a good goal kicker on the field (Jordie), and see how that goes. If it's not Crotty, it needs to be another experienced back with excellent organisation and communication skills. To me, that's not Jordie.

Sounds like a job for Michael Collins.

As long as try this out before they pick the RWC squad, not afterwards so just to demonstrate to us all how farked we will be.I'm sure they're trying it in camp
