The most recent squad was described as for Bledisloe. So could there be additions for Tonga?
I’m hearing Brett Cameron and Matt Proctor will play against Tonga.....

I’m picking Squire to be the addition to the WC squad - he apparently played well for Ta$man last week. He’s not as good as I’d like, but, he’s better than what else we have.
Hansen will need to convince Squire to make himself available according to this article.

@Bovidae I think we're at one other than back up LH.
Agreed that when Karl was let go it was Moli's to lose. But from what I saw on Saturday, not only in scrums, but also in work around field, it's too early for him.
Which means Ofa is a chance, but if not if it were me I'd take Karl, although if it came to that I have a hunch TWM would send for Perry, and that I'd be dead against.
Karl T big game tonight for Harbour, but limped off with leg injury.

@Billy-Tell oh well, fuck off then if it is such a problem for you.
You whinge and bitch about players, why cant people express thier views on how the ref went too?
I already said above I felt he had no choice in the RC.
It’s no problem for me. Just think it’s lame. Compared to some of the very average NZ refs in recent times, he’s a step up. I have no problem with him reffing us vs SA. If we lose it won’t be because of him.

@Bovidae they should save Garces for French schoolboy rugby.
Whinging
pomsKiwisThe guy is a decent ref, and the forum is pathetic the way people whine on all the time about him.
Let's not mention the NZ Herald with their "wasn't a red card" crusade this week, and you can see why Stephen Jones whips himself up into a state of frenzy.
I've been on this forum circa 15 years.
In that time there have been a fair few whinges about reffing calls - mostly from us Saffas and quite often against kiwi refs - yes Bryce Lawrence I do mean you.But generally speaking - and I make the very large exception of a certain Wayne Barnes in a certain 2007 match - I don't think commentary on reffing has ever been at a "pathetic" level on this forum.
Refs are like players. Some have better natural talent than others. Sometimes they have good games and sometimes they have bad games. Sometimes they have a brainfart. What's the point of a rugby forum if we didn't express our opinions on that?
-
@Billy-Webb I don't think you've seen the Hawt or bbq threads...

Gee don't head over to GAGR tomorrow if the ABs come out on top then if you think the Fern is bad.
The problem with a guy like Garces is he has bottled basic protocol in big internationals twice. Very difficult to enjoy his refereeing when he is prone to just go off script when the pressure goes on. In general I can accept him being on the international panel as a pretty low ranking member - but the bloke shouldn't be near the big tests.
-
I feel sorry for the wingers this week. People are talking like they're in a shootout for selection, but how the fck they're supposed to really show what they're capable of outside an experimental 10/15 combo and our 4th midfield combo in 4 weeks is beyond me.

Six hours to go. Let’s hope the tight five are getting ready to fire up, instead of hitting the weights and bakery.
Tonight’s when we get a true sense of whether anything has been held back so far this season, or whether they really are Dad’s Army.
Hell yeah.
I'm pumped up, heading out to the pub before down to the ground with the usual crew. Giong to be awesome - but need to get in front early as rain will come late in the first half. It'll favour fast starters

yeah - updated forecast is light showers. So probably not too bad ... once the ball gets wet, it shouldn't be too bad after that. Less thana mm forecast

Can’t remember feeling this uneasy for some time , maybe the string of disappointing performances that is starting to feel like the norm, is starting to take its toll.
But anyway I’m hoping for the best, preparing for the worst ,
Go Allblacks.

I'm planning some loss insurance. Don't usually bet, but not convinced at all that we can lift as much as we may need to.
