Just watched the highlights. Umpires seemed to get almost every decision wrong - they are just guessing it seems .....

I saw that to just to top things off, the ump that got the majority wrong was also stung by a wasp in the last hour of play! What a day to remember!

@mariner4life yeah I thought that was a dick move, from the audio I heard the booing was much louder than any clapping for the hundy. I know it all happened under his watch and he missed a trick on nipping it in the bud, but I just don't have it in me to boo him for it. Davey, fuck yes - but I already didn't like that mofo.

But that booing will continue for the rest of their playing careers, someone will always be in the crowd ready to let loose. Similar to Quade Cooper. Even if the level of spite or genuine grievance goes it'll always be a laugh for some.

He's like Chris Harris on speed AND roids! His hand-eye coordination and awareness of where his body is is off the charts. Plus he's absolutely a nightmare to bowl too, has no dramas walking all over his crease and exposing his stumps to get in position for a shot.

Comparing Chris Harris to Smith. Now I truly have seen it all !

@MN5 I like that you ordered that correctly bro! ha ha ol Harry was a jitterbug at the crease. But I reckon you could argue that Vettori is the most Smith-like BC, he loved walking across his stumps. Don't think Smith quite matches Harry in the field though 🙂

Root given out, then overturned because the ball actually clipped the stumps!

    Bail trembled. Unbelievable.

Lyons all over Burns but only 3 overs. Why?

Numbers and names. Not a fan at all. Much prefer the uncluttered plain tops.

Lyon getting a lot of turn and it's keeping low. Groundsmen obviously didn't realise India weren't playing and they could prepare a normal wicket.

Have I been watching too much ODI cricket or is 260 odd in a day quite a slow scoring rate these days?

So, Aus effectively 34/3 (and yes @NTA , that is the right way of saying it) but with Smith still there. Advantage England but by no means home and hosed. Smith is the key man I feel. He copped a nasty one on the grill and looked pretty wobbly initially, not sure if he went for a check up but should have if he didn’t. Tough as well as angry lesbian.

@Catogrande Just saw the highlights and Yes, Smith should have been checked out after that wobble.

Surely Moeen can't last much longer in the team? He's picked as a spinner for his batting and he can't make runs, then England need to pick their best spinner. Still a tough game to call. England should have got a big lead by bowling Aus out for under 200 or getting 450 but haven't quite been good enough.

Weird also that the bails have to fall off for you to be bowled when originally the bails were added to make it easier to tell when someone had been bowled. The ultraedge shows the slightest snick on the bat and went crazy when Root's stump was hit yet it's not out. Strange game cricket .....

Aus need to get a lead of 250 then hope Lyon rips through the middle order.

Fucking ordinarily dismissals for our openers.
