Barrett was the best player on the park, and kept us in the game. He's essential.

Hopefully we won't see any loose forwards covering locks in key games from now on. Surely they've learnt their lesson.

    Right,

    Right?

@Kirwan Mounga needs time because we need another 1st. Was good in second half. Many times BB has been criticised as well. Just par for course.

They’ll rightly not be afraid of us at the WC.

How many players are past it or just not good enough?

I'm pretty certain we'll play way more direct off the ruck if we meet them in the RWC. I feel like we're "keeping our powder dry" as we kept going wide with depth when if we'd played direct in close we'd make inroads.

Was SBW as bad as everyone made out? I watched first half on my phone coming back from the State House Rugby on the train but he didn't look as bad as the comments (obviously not saying he was good 😉 ) but will do i full screen rewatch tomorrow..

So the way to make Barrett a good 10 (as opposed to a rugby player which he already is) is to select him at fullback and having him play up in the line it seems? Still need someone to kick the goals though.

Maybe I’m too positive but I didn’t mind that from us. I think our attack looked better than it’s has (or st least more promising) for a long time against rush D. Games will be tight a WC and I hope we can keep improving. SA scramble d was out-of-this-worldly! We had about 5 times when we had them shot in phase plsy and were let down by our hands which needs to improve.
Thought Frizell had a good 2nd half which was pleasing and Coles looked good.
Defences are just so well organised and professional now. When you think league has 13 and we have 15 on same size field I wonder if we need to look how the games is played to create more chances. I can’t see all 6 nations (bar Italy) SA and NZ games being any different to this one in terms of attacking spectacle.

Even if this were the case methinks he needs more than that to convince.

We wouldn't have scored our try without a good pass from SBW. It wasn't perfect, but good enough to put him in the hole. ALB looked better when he came on but we were dominating the game at that point (and should have put it away).

Rieko's position is under serious threat from Bridge.

Rieko offers zero kicking game so his value in this sort of a game is fuck all.

Yeah nah not after that absolute howler by Bridge at the end - basically cost us the game. Just such a bad defensive play, like absolutely mind-blowingly horrible

Buenos Aires was a warning of what would happen tonight
There should be considerable concern in NZ ABs look vulnerable and very beatable

Before you hoped to beat NZ Now you have a very good chance of turning them over now Last 8 games or so have shown that to be the case (Boks*3 Pumas ENG IRE)

ABs attack has been awful last 2 games ~25 handling errors is garbage

Wallabies will give ABs a boost & they'll regain some confidence with 2 comfortable wins

Boks were very good but they never look like scoring in attack until some magic in 79th minute

Once again Barrett’s boot has cost us a test against the Boks........

Of course we'll just forget the fact that he set up the one and only try.

His kicking is shart though. How does he usually kick in Japan? He's usually solid in the NH.

He was easily our best player. Sadly, it’s really hard to tell from Mounga’s performance if BB to fullback experiment actually worked
