I'll play glass half full ...

... ABs D was the absolute shit. Our attack was awful but the AB defence was rock solid.

    Discipline wasn't great either.

Flush the dunny but work on the handling.

Perfect lineout ball and setup for the Pumas right at the death and then it seemed they allowed the AB forwards to drive through with relative ease. Strange finish for the Argies.

It's a pity they won't drop Jordie. He's one of their projects.

On the plus side, if our B’s can win away from home that says something.

B-Team is the right name for them. Brodie, Ben, Beauden and a bunch of B-level talent, save for Ardie and Laumape.

Pumas should have won that one. Golden opportunity to beat a not very good ABs but they choked.

Laumape has been good again with limited opportunities. He deserves to make the RWC team, he has made every post a winner and is capable of completing a captain's run without tearing an ACL.

I beg to differ. He made a couple of trademark barging runs but that's all he brings to the table so I'm not excited about it. And his hands let him down on more than one occasion. Midfield should be ALB at 12, Goodhue 13. Bench cover possibly Ennor.

That was shit. I can't believe we went wide with 3 minutes to go and the ball on halfway. That's on Beauden Barrett who is meant to be an experienced player. Very poor from him.

AB MoM for me is Ardie Savea. BBBR a close second.

Positives: BB looked sharp, Laumape solid, Reece didn't look out of place, Dane Coles getting back into form, Coltman's breakdown work, Cane's return.

Negatives: The second half, Coltman's throwing, Leadership. Jordie Barrett stank

@rotated And some rookies. I wouldn't call them B-level just yet.

God I shouldn't watch the first test of the season,, always utter ar$e. Jags scramble and rush was excellent, they pushed the limit and Angus let them get away with, well played. Combine that with pushed passes and tits for hands meant a close game.

Boks are going to be a handful, thankfully I'm not going to watch at the caketin, so we might actually win it!

It's rare that I feel I've wasted two hours of my life watching the All Blacks, but that's the feeling I have now. Crap game from a crap selection.

Angus Gardener is such a shit coach. Pulling penalty calls out of his ass. Offside and playing the guy in the air at the end

@shark In the big games, I prefer Crotty and Goodhue, with ALB on the bench.

Phew! Great defence from ABs. Good set piece on the whole.
Attack just worries me, we just don’t seem to be that threatening and need to play more direct, Argies looked better on attack with simple go forward, good lines and footwork with a few moves thrown in, similar to Ireland but difference in execution between two.
I just don’t remember forwards looking dangerous on attack, Ardie had some good runs but more from broken play than good structure.
Also our discipline!! We have always played on the edge under Hansen/Ted but teams are just better that 4/5 years ago and it hurts us. 2-3 jumping across in line out, 2-3 late hits blousy insane!!
    Anyway win is a win.

Really flat backline attack, combined with rush defence produced lots of errors. They either need to execute a lot better, create more deception, mix it up, or take more space.

Ardie, BBBR and Laumape were the top three ABs for me. Ofa T and Ben Smith were steady too.

Yeah, couldn't believe that shit. Kick for the corner and pin them in their 22 is what you would expect your no 10 to do.
