So, I reckon there’s little we can draw on from past experiences against them, whereas we have a good enough body of work against Aus - both historically and recently - to feel more confident about playing Aus

Shane Warne made an interesting point. Thinks that the experience NZ got from being in the last CWC will count for a lot.

Far more players stepped up to the mark in this game than in previous games - hopefully a good omen.
