I just read that Finn Delany will be playing Summer League for the Dallas Mavs. The Greek Freak’s brother will be playing in the same team.

Yeah I'm a little bit excited about the Delany thing. There's always a chance he'll get picked up by the Mavs for the regular season and i have two nights in Dallas in late October, albeit with only one free.

Celtics are getting Kemba Walker on a 4 year $141M deal apparently (compared to 5 year $160M offer from Hornets). Makes sense from both sides.

Seems like Kyrie to Nets is a done deal. The question is who else do they get (if anyone).

The Knicks appear to have be usurped in New York by the Brooklyn Nets following this Woj bomb:

Former Tall Black now Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks is on fire - he's signed Irving, KD and Deandre Jordan before NBA free agency has even started.

Knicks apparently refused to offer KD the max, citing 'injury concerns'.

They've now made their first signing - Julius Randle.

Other interesting moves: Malcolm Brogden to the Pacers, Bojan Bogdanovic to the Jazz, Ricky Rubio to the Suns, JJ Redick to the Pelicans.

Pelicans getting JJ will anger the Lakers who were making advances. But Zion, Ingram, Ball, JJ and another big looks okay.

I'm already looking forward to watching that Pelicans team. You forgot Holiday in that lineup ACTC, who is also a gun. They pick up a veteran big man and all of a sudden that's a roster that can compete for a playoff spot.

Indy also look like sneaky contenders, providing Oladipo can stay fit. I rate Brogden as a signing.

@barbarian To think this was considered a sure thing during the season:

Yep, but much like the Clippers it doesn't matter who the fuck the Nets sign, they'll still be the unfashionable second team in their respective media markets.

The Rubio signing is ok for mine, as a Suns fan. We desperately needed a point guard and I don't think we were ever going to sign anyone whose name begins with a 'K'.

Impressive job by Marks, who took over a franchise in disarray and weighed down by ugly contracts and no draft picks. The Nets become a major power in the East for the first time since JKidd. If reports are to be believed, and Kawhai is mulling over a move to the Lakers, I wonder if this power shift pushes him away from Toronto and to the Lakers to form their own mega team. Once KD is playing the Nets will be as good as any one out East

Two more big moves - Jimmy Butler traded to Miami (Sixers get Josh Richardson), and Al Horford signs with the Sixers.

Philly now will have a starting five of Simmons-Richardson-Harris-Horford-Embiid.

I liked what Butler brought to that team, he's an alpha dog who stepped up when it mattered. A lot will depend on Simmons improving, IMO. If he does that could be a finals team.
