@mikedogz i use to be a towel kid wiping up the sweat at Hawks games in the mids 90s. Would get a primo and some lollies and some shapes. Hell of a night out.

I still remember going to holiday camps with the players it was awesome.

@Magpie_in_aus Jamie Dixon was an awsome player for us (who scored heaps of points) for such a short little white guy! Think he might be coaching high up in the Collegiate system in the States now/

    80's NZ Basketball

That is brilliant footage. A nice reminder that NZ made Brett Brown 😀

Good to see Hill and McFadden back in their playing days, two guys that have stayed in NZ and given back to the game.

He sure is. Coaches TCU now who have made the NCAA tourney since he took over a couple of seasons ago.

He also coached Adams at Pitt.

Probably because he played for HB 😀

There was definitely a personality clash there.

Kawhi has apparently requested a meeting with the Lakers owner and Magic....

Magic is not allowed to take any meetings with players regarding trades or contracts though.

Does Kawhi want to be a no.3?

He can remain King of the North or be the man at the Clippers.

But as a long-time Lakers fan I'd start watching them again.

I just read that Finn Delany will be playing Summer League for the Dallas Mavs. The Greek Freak’s brother will be playing in the same team.

Yeah I'm a little bit excited about the Delany thing. There's always a chance he'll get picked up by the Mavs for the regular season and i have two nights in Dallas in late October, albeit with only one free.

Celtics are getting Kemba Walker on a 4 year $141M deal apparently (compared to 5 year $160M offer from Hornets). Makes sense from both sides.

Seems like Kyrie to Nets is a done deal. The question is who else do they get (if anyone).

The Knicks appear to have be usurped in New York by the Brooklyn Nets following this Woj bomb:

Former Tall Black now Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks is on fire - he's signed Irving, KD and Deandre Jordan before NBA free agency has even started.

Knicks apparently refused to offer KD the max, citing 'injury concerns'.

They've now made their first signing - Julius Randle.

Other interesting moves: Malcolm Brogden to the Pacers, Bojan Bogdanovic to the Jazz, Ricky Rubio to the Suns, JJ Redick to the Pelicans.

Pelicans getting JJ will anger the Lakers who were making advances. But Zion, Ingram, Ball, JJ and another big looks okay.

I'm already looking forward to watching that Pelicans team. You forgot Holiday in that lineup ACTC, who is also a gun. They pick up a veteran big man and all of a sudden that's a roster that can compete for a playoff spot.

Indy also look like sneaky contenders, providing Oladipo can stay fit. I rate Brogden as a signing.
