@Nepia and I pulled up that drawbridge Year’s ago.You both tried to jump on the canes one last year, we had to hire extra security when we heard ferals from Manurewa and Flaxmere were scoping it out.
I was there for work today. I think the reputation is totally unwarranted. I left my car for five minutes and no one even stole it.
Us Flaxmere-ites are an intelligent class of hood rats, we don't shit where we eat. We head out to Havelock North to steal out cars.
What job takes you to Flaxmere? Police, prison warden, parole officer, social worker, alcohol and tobacco stockist, TAB technician, drug dealer?

@Crucial outside of Chiefs and Jags, the rest of the players are from teams that got beaten (and in the Rebels case, embarrassed). No Highlanders, Canes, Bulls or Brumbies. Am I missing something?
I'm still laughing at the thought of Blues fans befuddlement over Pulu being there.
I think this TOTY is solely done off positional stats ie whose numbers looked best

@Bones said in QF 3: Jaguares v Chiefs:
@Crucial that would be even more ridiculous as toty!
I re-checked the website and it is based on that Opta Index thing that we have picked apart previously.
Here's the excuses behind the selections. (BTW I'm not agreeing with the selections I just thought it was a fun selection to troll @Jaguares4real with

You have Crusaders Jaguares Hurricanes and Brumbies on a level way above everyone else
For all the Kiwis who don't watch Super Rugby out of NZ sides
Brumbies won 10 games including their last 6 in a row
7 game winning streak at home Won their conference by 14 points
Beat Stormers in CT
Gave Jaguares a good game in BA when Jaguares were starting to fire
Battered Bulls + Lions at home
Battered Chiefs at home
Best win of the season though was beating Blues at home coming off a tough 2 game tour of SA + ARG whilst Blues were fresh off a bye
Need I go on...........
I'm here all week for any other parochial Kiwis
The more I think about this game, the more I think we will win. Your team is no where near as good as you think it is. We finally have a near full strength team and will beat you by at least a converted try.
You still had a good season and nothing to be ashamed of, for sure.
You are falling into a trap...
There is no dripping with sarcasm emote so it does actually appear that I am that confident
-
@Crucial yeah you just need to read the comments on those TOTW on FB...people struggle to understand they are PURELY stats driven, and as you can see, throws up some anomolies of players in teams that got pumped, driven largely by defensive efforts.

Well definitely veering towards the latter three on your list....

our pumping, the Jaguares should win by about 20 po
I said it was their BEST win
This was said in the context of a tough 2 game tour where they had to make over 200 tackles and hold off a Stormers team formidable at home
Then backed it up against the Jaguares who were starting to hit their straps
That game was a real street fight Brumbies impressed in defeat
They THEN flew black home to play an team who hadn't played the previous week and won convincingly
CONTEXT matters
BTW Brumbies best PERFORMANCE was hammering the Chiefs but I don't want to remind Chiefs fans of that....................
If you are still referring to the home win against the Blues, then you have this completely wrong!
I was at that game and the Brumbies were all kinds of useless and it was just that the Blues and the ref were even worse and the Blues lost that match rather than the Brumbies winning it.
Hardly their "best" win.

So tempted to make inappropriate friday afternoon comments about smooth juicy meat. But I won't.
Quite pleased that I wasn't the only one thinking along those lines. Not sure that is any better though.
