AFL 2019

Sad for the Dees. It's almost like after so many poor to ordinary years, the first good one in a decade or more has placed an expectation on the guys that they just can't live up to. I feel for Nathan Jones. Wouldn't surprise me now if they went on a tear with the pressure off, and all too late.
Nah fuck 'em ... Crows needed that win.
Crows aren't that good really. Flukey win against the Dees who are nowhere.
Mind you 8 of the last 9 goals ...
Still, we're still at 7th.

Richmond getting put firmly back in their box

To be in contention for a premiership, obviously you need talent, but you also need a fit list and everyone in form and on the same page ,
That’s where Richmond were in 17 and 18 , first and third ,
That’s where Geelong are now , looking the real deal

Geelong look good everywhere. Talent and the right game plan. Still, the best team in June means frig all

Adelaide were doing that in June 2017 , Richmond last year ,
The main concern for Geelong, it’s a pretty old team , their window will close pretty quickly , it’s now or never ,
I like David kings analysis, and he said , when you come up with a new game plan or innovation, and it’s working really well, you have to capitalise on it straight away and win that premiership, because teams quickly work it out and it becomes yesterday’s news before you know it , and then it’s gone

Fucking dead cat bounce

Because the sellotape held overnight. That looked terrible.

I love AFL, but there's a lot of faggy shit these skinny fucks get away with.
Stratton has spent all night pinching Fantasia's arm to the point where he has bruises. That is piss weak.

There has always been an element of that compared to the rugby codes ,
ive probably followed it longer than most here because of family connections in melbourne ,
I can remember when it was anything goes in Rugby , League and Rules , early 80s ,
In the rugby codes they would stand up facing each other and trade punches , in Aussie rules they would king hit guys in the back of the head when they werent looking

I recall going to a Collingwood - St Kilda match many years ago and being shocked by some of the expletive language coming from the fans directed to umpires. One particular abuse hurler was a lady probably in her 60's - would have loved to see these BAO's have tried to remove her from the stadium
-
well, you know, early in the season, we had a bunch of assaults at the footy, and people claimed something had to be done. The game has this culture where it of perfectly okay to just sit there and abuse the shit out of umpires, and any player unlucky enough to mark close tot he boundary, or you know, score a running goal.
People wanted something done, so the AFL did this. And now people are up in arms about it. Because they can't call the umpire a fluffybunny without getting kicked out.
It appears the AFL have taken it too far, and there has been a distinct lack of communication about what these guys are doing, and what the limits are. But the AFL had to do something, because people cannot control themselves.
