What happened to Debreczeni? MMac came on very early, but I didn't see why Debreczeni had to come off.
He had a head knock early on.
Weber was like a different player today, definitely made TTT look like the rookie - his pass to the left is pretty slow/sloppy... Has it always been like that and I haven't noticed?

Halfbacks and first-fives usually look a lot better when their forwards are going forward and providing good quick ball and protection - it is not a coincidence.

Chiefs backline looks good. Maybe a win finally, but I say that every week.
It would be an obvious fix of massive proportions. In decades to come, baseballers would talk about the Black Bulls...

Rosko Specman running into Laulala's shoulder was the best thing in the match.

First the Lions, and now this. Come on the warriors this arvo for the trifecta

Chiefs were excellent, I think they can put the Mckenzie experiment to bed, the team is just different with him at 15. BBBR outstanding and that Nankivell was very good. As mentioned earlier very few errors. Good luck next week boys.
What is interesting about it is that in the second half he was the chief play maker anyway - basically playing 10 but from 15 and doing it well.
I thought MMac had a good game actually, didn't try to over play his hand and kicked the Chiefs out of trouble when needed.
-
Fantastic, surprising result.
Much simpler game plan with us using Dmac more appropriately. Itβs strange that he does so much playmaking - yet not having to be the main playmaker seems to give him confidence to make better decisions. Also of course, being second receiver suits him much more.
Nankivell reminds me of Crotty - really accurate, plays bigger than he looks, and tidies up well - some of his kicks were very good.
Probably our best midfield is ALB/Nankivell - although Manu is starting to look more at home at 13 too.

Thanks that was my first game of rugby. So you're saying the forwards turned to shit when Tahuriorangi came on?

I was impressed by Luke Jacobson. His tackling was ferocious, hit the rucks with efficiency and ran hard. He is one to watch this year IMO.
Incredible game from Alex Nankivell too. I hope he will keep playing like that. A combo with ALB could be interesting in the next weeks to come.
