Media trying to get Hansen to endorse Foster as his successor, but he doesn't do it. He says he rates Foster highly, but as to who should be the next coach, he says he'll keep his opinion to himself. There are processes for that.

He thinks it's irrelevant that Foster didn't win anything with the Chiefs. He says they didn't win anything at the time, because the Crusaders were winning it.

To be fair they asked Smith on the way out and he backed Foster. Pretty sure Henry openly backed Hansen too.

After all Steve Hansen has done for New Zealand Rugby and the All Blacks, I wish him a long and happy retirement. Hopefully the players will work hard to bring an old friend called Bill to his retirement party.

TAB's hypothetical market on Hansens replacement...if they were running a real book I dont expect a few of those names would actually appear, or should be much longer odds...

I hope they do open a book. Made a solid $250 off the TAB with Henry's reappointment at 5-1 the day before the decision.

Foster too short when you consider the ABs are longer than $2.00 at most books to win RWC.

I am concerned with the thought of Foster , without much recognized support behind him ,

Put a good team around him , no where near as worried .
