Has Hansen gone stale?

@snowy my wider point was that there is really only one thread with one topic. And I love it. A loss against Ireland has me reading (and posting on) the fern again. You little beauty. This is what it is to feel alive! I think we should merge them all into one big wankfest of glorious self abuse and loathing.

Rennie is one of the most overrrated coaches. Initial success with the Chiefs then very average.
Overrated mostly by Nepia. Not sure who else is stroking his schlong.

Here is a match report - good luck finding footage: http://www.espn.com.au/rugby/report?gameId=24259&league=244293
Was at this game. Brutal finish. Will look for this game on an old hard drive tomorrow but most of it is in this compilation.

Wheres the yawn emoji? Wins Super rugby twice with long term failures the Chiefs, wins three U20s in a row and lulls us into thinking they're easy until we start loosing a few, takes over a basket case province when their coach quits and makes them way more competitive than they should be. Oh, also won a rare NPC for Wellington when he was a baby coach back in the day.
But yeah, overrated and average.

But what has he done since? Glasgow is hardly blazing new ground. He’s a decent enough coach but not AB head coach imo.

99 was a choke. A deadset choke.
'99 - wasn't that the year all the rugby journos & NZ rugby public seemed to run a concerted campaign to play Cullen, the best fullback in the world, at 13?
And the AB selectors duly obliged, giving new meaning to the phrase "Never get what you wish for"...

Aren't they leading their competition pool and didn't they lead their pool last year too? If I'm wrong, I apologize, but what's expected of him?

Maybe he is expected to be a Cantabrian. Or maybe an ex All Black. Something important, no doubt.
Rennie's track record, starting with teams considered very average, is exemplary. Even better, he actually brings a fresh set of ideas to the game.

God 2002 was shit year.
Highlights the games v South Africa, a good win at home, and a win in Durban. But the world's most boring game v the Wallabies, then a loss. Took the Taine/Jonah/Cully farewell tour away with a squad guaranteeing they would lose, and they did.
Our team was so underwhelming, the results were a bit shit, just a forgettable year.
Funnily enough, until the World Cup in 2011, the only year i had been to more than one AB test (Fiji and Saffers in Wellington)
Mark fucking Robinson at centre over Tana!!!
14 Cantabs and Jonah....who started at 14 i think cos Caleb Ralph was 11?!?!?
