We were pretty dreadful in that game. What has happened to our ability to penetrate and score tries?

It was our inability to go forward, silly mistakes that cost us momentum, made everyone look bad. Only Ardie and S Barrett can hold their heads up high

    Wow.
    Ireland clearly betterer today.
    Tactics odd.
50-65min mark we were coming, then stopped. Maybe should've pushed for the corner instead of taking the penalty.
Retallick - that wasn't one of his best was it?
    Read - is he cooked?
    Whitelock
I think Perenara should've started - hes in better form than A.Smith.
We need something different in midfield - we're not making any metres there (even when SBW plays)

We need to seriously consider Mo'unga now. Teams have worked out Barrett. Can Barrett adapt?

Looks like Moody was a much bigger loss than many on here thought. Karl still has a lot of work ons.

If Nonu is serious about making a tilt, and he's 85% as good as 2015 or better, he'll walk in

@hydro11 our kicking is clearly fucked. Not regaining possession. Being the first option with front foot running ball means it is in the headspace of the players. Got to sort that shit out.

We started to look good, in the 78th minute.

Retallick argghhhhhhh. We had players out wide too.

    Well done Ireland.

Not too concerned. It all has a familiar feel to 2014 to me.

We started to look good in the 50th minute but fucked it up with our continuous kicking. Had we been more patient, we would have scored.

Yeah, we did start to open it up but lacked composure when it mattered. Disappointing as we have generally been very clinical in that regard in previous seasons.

So Vs those tight suffocating teams we need Mo'unga at ten, Beaudy not upto it. He's great in an open game, get him at fifteen already

AND HOLD ONTO THE FUCKING BALL

Something I've been yelling at the screen since 2016

@taniwharugby yep, nailed it that time. We were pretty average weren’t we? Apart from line outs it’s hard to see any area where we had an edge.

I'd be surprised. But then I've not kept an eye on his form. I won't jump to conclusions about individual players because we were collectively poor tonight. Ireland deserved their first ever home victory

Brodie and Read played their worst games of the year.

The constant kicking was ridiculous - especially when down by 10.

Well done Irish. Well deserved win. Defense shut down the ABs.

    Irish loosies destroyed ABs.

We still need a 6. These guys arent the answer.

Said it after the England game and will again in these hugely anticipated fixtures for all the marbles the ABs always went into siege mentality, went up a gear and turned on a big performance...

In the past two years they couldn't against the Lions, they couldn't trying to avenge a home loss to the Boks, couldn't against England and couldn't here. This team does not have that gear, underlined by two of the leaders having their worst games in black.

Since 2004 the first generation of players built the juggernaut. The second generation enjoyed it. This third generation now has flushed it.

Fitzy needs to fly over there and lay on his "remember this feeling" speech because it seems Hansen or Read won't.

Thought the problems laid with both halfbacks, who were either too slow in passing, or choosing the wrong option (box kick - never came good - obviously some badly though out tactic by the coaching staff).
Some of the high balls were also badly dealt with - though B Barrett was very good here. A Savea was good, so was Scott Barrett. Midfield was OK, liked ALB's little impact.
Good to see Barrett kicking well, too. Irish forwards were better up until O'Mahoney went off, but their defence held firm even without him.
Had the game gone on for another 20 mins, I think ABs would have easily ran away with it, Irish were clearly more spent than ABs.
Alas, it's an 80 minute game, so well done Ireland. You fucks

I haven't read any comments yet but this game was lost in the forwards. Ireland dominated the collisions so the backs had little impact. Outside of Savea no one can say they played well. Ioane and B Smith had their moments but not enough of them.

Quite fitting that a BBBR knock-on ends the game as handling mistakes under pressure were a big problem.

    Well done Ireland.

Play like chimps and you end up chumps.

I haven’t seen such flat performances from the ABs such as in the last two games.

Yes, the other teams played well (and genuine congrats to Ireland) but not at levels that should have stopped us beating them.

On a note that sounds a bit poor loser though, WR has got to do something about teams wanting a huddle and cuddle before every restart. Sure the time was stopped but it was like a game of NFL out there for Ireland. They were seriously taking the piss.
